"I know what a guy on drugs looks like because I was alive at one point." Ember rolled her eyes. "And for the record I don't believe you are insane. Just some very strange human."
"I know what a guy on drugs looks like because I was alive at one point." Ember rolled her eyes. "And for the record I don't believe you are insane. Just some very strange human."
Jayson gives her that are you sure? look. Then just walks it off smiling. "Alright then, but like I'm sure I didn't look high, just kinda overexcited to meet Satan"
"Excited to meet Satan?" Ember cocked her head to the side with a laugh. "That, that is a first. Most people beg me to let them have a free pass into heaven. But you, you're different."
Jayson snickers. "I guess I'm a bit cracked for saying that, but it's not like I'm gonna suddenly lose it and try begging you to let me go to the paradise. I don't wanna be stuck singing holy songs from my unholy ass for the rest of my life" He grimaces just thinking about it. "It sounds horrifying"
Ember barked out a laugh. "Oh yes. It truly dose. Though the colors are bland, its still better then hell. Trust me." She glanced at him, "trust me. I get to come and go. But maybe you'll like hell, I mean. If you like getting stabbed."
A faint smile touches Jayson's lips, then it just develops into a side smirk, he chuckles. "No yea getting stabbed is my favorite pass time, I'm starting to think that I'll totally dig it" He rolls his eyes because burning was his least favorite thing to do.
"Oh you'd love it then! Stabbing is their favorite thing," She grumbled the next part, "Even if you're just visiting." Ember rolled her eyes and laughed again. "Though you don't die, so that's a plus."
Jayson scoffs. "Sounds cool" Then the probably just visiting part got his attention. "What do you mean just visiting? You finally fell for this guy? You gonna get me out my hopeless situation?" He eyes her with an antagonizing smile then wiggles his eyebrows, his attempt at seduction.
Ember thought for a moment, trying to decide if she should tell the truth, or play along. She decided to play along. "Mmh, perhaps." She sweetened her voice and leaned closer. "And if I have?" She raised an eye brow.
Jayson saw her hesitation at first then dismissed it. Perhaps? woah. He smirked "Well damn, didn't think I'd even have a reaper fallin' for me" As she leaned closer Jayson blushed a bit, girls, in general, didn't make him flustered but this one….this one was something else. "Uhhh well, I haven't thought about that far. M-maybe we could g-get a small house- I-I'd like four plea-" He stops himself and realizes he was rambling, something he only did when he was getting hella nervous. Or falling for someone. Oh snap now I've done it.
Ember smirked, "a house eh'?" She cocked her head to the side before pulling back with a laugh. "Four what? Finish your sentience." Her eyes gave off a challenge, but the rest of her expression was still soft, still all part of her joke. Though something inside of her was attracted to this human. Maybe it was the fact that he wasn't afraid of her, or that he wasn't begging for his life.
Jayson laughs awkwardly when she mentions the whole house and four something deal. "N-nothing, four nothing. Just useless chatter on my part" He attempts to compose himself again.
"Mmm, do I have you flustered?" Ember forced her smile to be warm instead of wicked. "Aren't girls, always all over you?"
Jayson chuckles "Y-yea, a bit" he admits. "And yea I guess you could say that though 'the other girls' usually try to get all up in my business once they have a chance to talk to me" He scoffs and rolls his eyes remembering. "But I guess that's not the case with you, you're just something else" He laughs lowly.
"Mmmh, you should really go for girls more your league." Ember gave a wicked grin and again pulled away. "Do you really believe I'd fall for you? I'm a reaper, you're a human. You're going to hell, remember? But good luck with the women down there. I think you'd really like them."
Jayson snorted and looked at her. "I mean obviously you wouldn't fall for me but it would be nice and I'd like to let my imagination run wild on that one" He suppresses a laugh. "If there are girls in hell then I think my stay'll be worth it~" He says giving a sort of sassy tone to his voice.
"Uh-huh. Well like I said, good luck." Ember continued to skip along the path, keeping an eye out for any crawlers.
After a while she spun around to see if Jayson was tired yet. "I know humans need rest, even if they're dead."
Jayson was laying flat on his face when she turned around, he held up one finger. "Yea, one moment, me and the ground have a thing going on right now." He had tripped and fell, though he made it seem like he did it on purpose.
Ember shook her head, "yes, I do believe a brake is in order." She found a spot to sit and plopped down. Ember watched Jayson, and held back a laugh knowing full well no one would just lay on their face.
Jayson gets up, his face a little flushed from embarrassment. He sits beside Ember. "Nice weather we're having amirite?" he wiggles his eyebrows at her, another attempt at seduction, which was probably clearly failing at this point and he knew it.
Ember raised an eye brow and laughed. "I guess." Though the wasn't really much weather in a reapers real. Of course some where cold, or windy. But hers way what one would call a nice day.
Jayson lays down on his back sighing, finally relieved to take a rest. He wondered what would happen if he stayed asleep or just refused to move in general. Would Ember drag him to the gates of hell herself? "Hey, what if someone were to refuse to keep going?" He asked, curious about what he'd been thinking about before.
Ember cocked her head to the side, never really have been asked that kind of question before. "Well, I'd assume they'd become a crawler." She shrugged and eyed him curiously, "why do you ask? Not getting any ideas, are you?"
Jayson laughs warmly at her suspicious attitude. "Hahaha no, I was just curious. I wasn't sure if someone tried that on you before, but I swear I'm not getting any ideas" He says holding his hands up in defeat as he has a faint smile on his face.
"Yeah well you'd be the first if you did try." Ember shrugged before relaxing. "Any more questions you'd like me to answer while we rest? Talking and walking isn't a good idea. Espesily in some areas of this place."
"ah no not really, not at the moment- well actually yea, it's not much of a question, just an assumption. You're single right?" He asks shamelessly while still laying down with his eyes closed.
Ember scrunched up her face as if holding in a laugh before giving a breathless, "yes." And giving into her laughter. "What are you getting at buddy? Want me to fall for you?"
Jayson laughs awkwardly, sits up and shakes his head a bit quickly which almost makes him seem innocent….almost. "N-no I was just wondering- I mean a young beautiful gorgeous-" he stops himself and coughs to cover up his awkwardness. "I just thought that a cute girl like you would already have a date? Male partner? Maybe you fancy another guy of your kind?" He smiles nervously. Shoot she's so gonna crucify me now
Ember burtsted out laughing. "What? Jayson. Oh my gosh." She shook her head before her expretion turned serious. "Of course not. Guys always want, well you know. And I just, I don't want that kind of stuff. Espesily if the other doesn't love me. I know, it sounds stupid. But honestly what's a relationship with out love?" She turned to him and felt her face go red from embaresmint. "I-I don't mind my rambling."
Jayson smiles warmly. "No yea I hear ya, that's kinda the main reason why I never dated anyone, they only look for what convenient to them and putting up with all that is really tiring….but hey, if a guy loved you without doing all that would you go out with 'em?" He asks cautiously, trying not to get his heart crushed because in reality he just wanted to know if he had a chance with her.
