"Ok, I will be right back." He put the drachmas in his back pocket and wiped his hand on a cloth. He walked into the market, puling the hair at the back of his head repeatedly. He went to Belen's stand where he kept dairy cold and sold little trinkets.
"Hey Adonis, how are you doing today." He said while getting up from his chair. He was quite young and around Adonis' age. They both grew up together but didn't stay close after turning 17. They talked occasionally but not as much as when they were kids.
"I am good, can I get some curdled milk?" He asked while placing the drachmas on the table. Belen handed it to him while scooping the coins into his hand. Belen waved as Adonis went back to the thermopolium. He started doing the same recipe as he did earlier with the man and poured the batter in the pan. He looked at the girl quickly before flipping the pancake. He put it on another to-go plate and put some nuts on the side. "Here you go."

"You're welcome." He said, wiping the counters and putting the cloth over his shoulders. Clio came out of the room and patted his shoulder. "Thanks, you can go on now. Just be back before lunch." Adonis took his satchel and adjusted his chiton a bit before walking back to the market place.

Theresa smiled and walked away from the marketplace, food in hand. she sat on the ground and started eating, ignoring the sun that was beating down on her.

Adonis took in the many sounds coming from everywhere and put his ear clogs in. It was too much for him and he didn't appreciate the yelling. People occasionally bumped into him and he grunted each time, even if it wasn't necessarily hard. He saw meat dangling from rope and butchers cutting some more in their stands. There were also many smells, aromas of perfumes and fruit mixed together but sometimes it was overwhelming. He went up the stone stairs and into a fruit store so he could get a quick snack before heading to the play that was about to start.

Cyprus brushed a few dark strands of hair out of his eyes as he leaned over the stand's table, searching for the specific plants that he had been sent to buy. After a few moments, he bought a bushel of oregano, which would be used to ward off evil spirits in the apothecary, dill for burns, mint for medicinal teas, and some chamomile and rosemary for antiseptics and colds. It had cost most of his drachmas, though he found a few extra, pocketed coins in order to buy a few stalks of Sideritis, something he enjoyed for tea and for decorations as well. Cyprus thanked the shop owner and placed all the herbs and plants in a small satchel at his side, careful not to flatten them. After a few moments, he continued down the paved pathway towards the main square when he saw a small crowd forming. Perhaps there was a play?

@gracehustle

Theresa finished eating quickly and stood up, she looked around and smiled, there was a play going on…the perfect place to pickpocket crowds of people.

Adonis went up the steps to the amphitheater and decided to sit not to close to the front but not all the way in the back. He took his apple out of the satchel and wiped it with his small piece of cloth. He looked at it to make sure there were no signs of rot or mold on it before taking a single bite out f it. He watched as the seats filled with more and more people and put his earplugs in while he waited for the play.

(Wait Nevermind I was just confused)

Phoebus drifted after, abandoning the music stall. “You don’t have to, it’s fine.” The girl was dressed in the typical attire of a servant, that and the fact that her skin indicated at a foreign background made him drsebthe conclusion that she probably didn’t have a lot of money.

(whoops sorry i thought that meant phoebus left her alone!)
"I have enough money to buy bread, you know," Aditi said, slightly annoyed. She assumed that he refused due to her lack of social status.

Cyprus went towards the small amphitheater in the town's square, staying towards the edge of the crowd as he watched a few actors begin to get onto the stage. He had always enjoyed watching plays, and he began to wonder what this one would be about. Perhaps a story about the gods.

(lol np)

"I wasn't trying to imply anything, I just don't want to inconvenience you.", he protested, following after her.

Kallisto finally arrived at the fabric stand, successfully not getting distracted by anything. She grabbed some of the kind the healer wanted before paying for it and starting back.

Adonis leaned back and watched as the figures moved across the stage. It was okay, considering the place was quiet so everyone could hear what they were saying. He took small bites of his apple, not wanting to make a lot of noise and also so he could hear what was going on below.

Cyprus continued for a few more minutes, keeping the satchel that contained all the medicinal herbs next to him incase a pickpocket mistook them for drachmas. He found a quiet spot a little further ways from the stage, near another man with black hair and seemingly lighter eyes.

When Adonis finished his apple, he wrapped the core in his piece of cloth and put in in his satchel so he could throw it away later. While turning to do so, he saw that a guy had sat next to him and he was quite confused. No one ever really wanted to sit in the middle because they either wanted to see the play or sit in the back and play around. "Hello, my name is Adonis and I work at Liondi's Thermopolia." He said, sticking out his hand towards the other man.

@gracehustle

Theresa was making her way around the stage, she shook her head at the unsuspecting people and scanned the crowd, trying to see if anyone would recognise her.

"Cyprus. I'm an apprentice at the apothecary," he answered, a polite, half smile crossing his face as he shook Adonis' hand. He pulled away after a few short moments, tucking a short strand of dark hair behind his ear as he studied the other man. Adonis was a little taller than Cyprus, so he needed to tilt his head a little upwards to meet the other's grey eyes.

@EmptyNebula group

Cyprus shook his hand a bit too harm so he retrieved it very quickly, not liking the pressure. "You have very wide shoulders." Adonis stated bluntly, looking back out to the stage. "Do you play sports?" He asked, quickly glancing back to Cyprus.

"No, I've never really been into those kinds of things," Cyprus said with a small shrug, playing with the edge of his satchel as he watched the other man. "And you? Have you always wanted to work in a restaurant?" He asked curiously, tilting his head to the side faintly.

@gracehustle

Theresa walked through the crowds and saw Adonis, the guy from the restaurant. she sighed and continued to pickpocket, trying to not be seen by him.

@EmptyNebula group

"Yes, I have. Although I wish to own my own someday without my cousin in charge. The only reason why is because a woman can't own their own shop, or so my family thinks so." He said, shrugging at the end and playing with his fingers. "Have you always wanted to work in an apothecary?"

"I suppose that I've always had a knack for medicine, and writing all of the names of herbs down keeps me busy," Cyprus answered with a small smile, already finding Adonis' company quite nice. Sure they had been a bit blunt earlier, though he didn't mind.

@EmptyNebula group

Adonis nodded and looked back to Cyprus, seeing the girl from earlier near them. Adonis payed her no mind and went back to focusing on the other man. "Are you enjoying the play?" He asked, switching his fingers to pull at the back of his head.
