Theresa darted between the vendors, snatching a few pieces of fruit, a small necklace and some coins. She glanced around and saw a man having a heated conversation with a stall owner, Theresa smiled and walked over to the stand, using the conversation as a distraction so she could swipe some drachmas from the guy (Phoebus).

@blue_topaz

Phoebus felt something brush his side, and he world around, eyes meeting those of a woman….. with his money in her hand. “Hey!”, he yelled, snatching at her hand. Catching her wrist, he held it at eye level, holding on tightly. “Give me my money.”

@blue_topaz

(Fiona?)

Phoebus clenched his jaw. “I earned that money, I worked hard for it. You do not have the right to take it from me.” He kept a firm grip on her arm, reaching up with his other hand to try to pry her fingers open.

@gracehustle

(sorry, it's a character from a different rp,)
Theresa sighed and tried to quickly twisted her wrist out of his hand, No, I need this money.. she thought to herself and grimaced, closing her hand tighter.

@blue_topaz

(The prison one right?)

Phoebus almost let go of her wrist, but quickly tightened his grip and grabbed her other arm as well. “I’m not going to report you.”, he said, trying to sound as gentle as possible. “Just give me my money.”

Kallisto was passing by the instrument stall when she noticed the man holding onto the woman's wrists. She paused and watched for a moment. What was going on here? Maybe she should stop and help…

No. Nonononono. She had to get the fabric for bandages.

Right… Yeah. Focus on your job, Kalli. Just ignore them.

Aditi's eyes widened. What was that man doing to the poor girl? She ran over, not fully knowing what was going on, and stood between the man and the girl. "Excuse me," she said. "Please let go of that girl's wrist, or I shall have to report you."

Phoebus almost let go of her wrist, but quickly tightened his grip and grabbed her other arm as well. “I’m not going to report you.”, he said, trying to sound as gentle as possible. “Just give me my money.”

(XD yup)
Theresa sighed and opened her hand "ok…"

@blue_topaz

Phoebus pocketed the coins quickly, turning to the new arrival. “She stole my money. I was getting it back.”, he said simply, turning away but keeping a hand around the money.

@gracehustle

Theresa sighed and back away from the people "ok, no reporting me, sorry for the money thing," she started to walk away and glanced back at the guy that was close….time to find money for food from someone else…

"Oh, I'm so sorry," Aditi apologized. "I've been working on my decision making skills, but I'm afraid that it will never be as good as my mother's. Here, let me buy you some bread in payment for falsely accusing you." She headed over to the bakery.

@Imperfect_Autumn group

Kallisto made her feet move past the stall and the small group that had gathered. Everything had been taken care of, they didn't need any help. Even so, she glanced back once as she walked away, her hand resting on her money pouch.

Fabric. Focus, Kallisto. Keep moving.

(she's on an errand from the cook, and i'm assuming that the servants get wages because she's not an indentured servant)

@blue_topaz

(Wait Nevermind I was just confused)

Phoebus drifted after, abandoning the music stall. “You don’t have to, it’s fine.” The girl was dressed in the typical attire of a servant, that and the fact that her skin indicated at a foreign background made him drsebthe conclusion that she probably didn’t have a lot of money.

Adonis ran his fingers through his hair when Clio left. First customer of the day. I can do this, it's not that hard. He had paid attention when his cousin asked for people's orders and tried to do it in the exact way. He made a sort of template in his head for orders and quickly went over it before going to the customers. "Good Morning, my name is Adonis and I can take your order. What do you want for your breakfast?" He asked the man with a rugged beard. He was balding on the top part of his head and around the sides. His clothes were dirty and patchy and he had a… rotten fish type of smell.
"Get me some tagenites, I need to leave soon." His voice was raspy and let out another foul smell. Adonis didn't let it show when he nodded his head to let him know he was listening.
"That's will be only 1 drachma." He told him while moving behind the stove. He took a frying pan from under the counter and placed all necessary ingredients nearby him. He grabbed the mixing bowl and poured the wheat flour, olive oil, and curdled milk. When he went for the honey, the jar was empty but he didn't want the customer to know about it. He replaced it with maple syrup and mixed everything together. The man glared at him while he made it and Adonis felt really uncomfortable so he looked away. He put the batter in the pan before rushing around to compose himself. He took deep breaths and ruffled his hair once more before flipping the pancake. When he was done, he placed it on a small dish and handed it to the man with some nuts from the dolia.

(Not all my responses will be this long, it's just that I'm very descriptive in greek settings)

Theresa walked away from the stand and went over to a restaurant to order food, before she went to order and pulled out her loot for the day and sighed, there was only enough for a small meal, not enough to last her through the next day like she hoped stupid….should've fought for that guys money… she shook her head and put the rest of her goods away besides the few drachmas she had. Theresa walked up and waited for someone to come so she could order food, as she waited she saw a guy making some sort of pancake that smelled delicious. she sighed and wished she had enough for something like that.

(Sorry I didn't join in. I was a little busy earlier.)

Cyprus walked steadily through the bustling crowds of the market, brushing a few dark locks out of his face as he glanced at the stands silently. Only a few caught his eye, most selling small books or new decorations from the smaller Greek islands, though he had to restrain himself from pausing to look. He had wanted to buy one of the latest novels, though he doubted that the small coins in his satchel could purchase that. Dismissing his thoughts, Cyprus continued through the crowd, searching for a small stand as he listened in on some of the merchant's conversations.

"These prices are absurd-" One started, a darkly tanned, older man with broad wrinkles around his mouth.
"They'll only get worse-"
"Candles are nearly 25 drachmas!" Another darted in quickly.
"Did you hear about the thief near one of the stalls?" Yet another merchant hurriedly spoke up before the small group was quickly absorbed in their small gossip.

Cyprus' interest piqued at that, though he wasn't very surprised. With the sun beating down tirelessly and the number of people in the crowds, he supposed that it could be rather easy to pickpocket someone.

(thanks!)

Cyprus continued through the paved path, occasionally pausing to let a small cart or an elderly person past him as he glanced around the stalls. So far, he didn't see exactly what he was looking for. He kept his cloth pouch holding his drachmas near him, pulling at the fabric in thought. Once he had heard that there was perhaps a thief still roaming through the marketplace, he was intent on keeping his coins near him. After all, the older man he was working for would kill him if he misplaced the drachmas.

Cyprus continued to walk around, though hesitantly paused at the music stand for a few moments or so as he looked at the lyres. He had always wanted an instrument or to learn one, but he thought that his fingers would be too clumsy to learn the plucking of the strings and the strumming. He preferred to listen to others. After a few more minutes of lingering at the music stand, Cyprus continued, finally approaching a small stand that sold medicinal herbs and other, various plants. There, he began to search for the specific ones that he would be using for the medicine at his apprenticeship.

@EmptyNebula group

Adonis took the drachma and put it in the small bag. The man trudged off in a weird type of way and he decided to look away. There was someone else there waiting to order something so he faced her. "Good Morning, my name is Adonis and I can take your order."

@gracehustle

Theresa smiled and tried to act more cheerful than she felt "Good morning, how much are some tagenites?" she fiddled with the two drachmas in her hand and looked at them.

@EmptyNebula group

"Uhh," Adonis started while quickly glancing down to the syrup. There wasn't enough of it left and he didn't have money to buy some without using their budget. "Three drachmas if you want it done fast. If you can wait five minutes, it'll only be two."
