Ethan looked down at his knees. At one point he bandaged them. ”i forgot about those. I think they've gone numb, ” he answered sitting down on a random bunk near the others.
Ethan looked down at his knees. At one point he bandaged them. ”i forgot about those. I think they've gone numb, ” he answered sitting down on a random bunk near the others.
"Is that a good thing?" Fynn asked quietly, surprised about how easily they got in.
"Well if you need any bandages let me know. The officials let me keep them on hand so I don't have to consistently ask the medics for more." Nykidia said gesturing at her stuff.
Ethan shrugged at Fynns question. ”thanks Nyk.” he looked around at the others. ”what are y'all doing?”
"Talk'n 'bout escaping." Nykidia said offhandedly.
Fynn gasped. "Escaping?! As in…breaking the rules and leaving?"
"Yup. I sure want to get out of here and so do these people. So why not?" She asked Fynn.
”i want in, ” Ethan said smirking. Ava looked over at the others not saying anything.
"We were planing on including you anyway," Nykidia assured him. "We need a plan."
"Of course you do." Kaelyn rolled her eyes. "But seriously, we need a plan and a way to communicate without getting caught… A cipher or code or something could work…"
“Morse code?” She asked
"Do you guys know morse code? We could teach each other and all, but I feel like we'd also need something else. Any other ideas?" Kaelyn said.
“What about opposites? Like if I said ‘over the black paper’ it would mean under the white pencil or something like that.”
"I know sign language. We also need to pick something the officials wouldn't know." Nykidia pointed it out.
"These are all good ideas but I think the officials are gonna catch on. And some of them probably know sign language or morse code…" Kaelyn trailed off. They needed a discreet way to communicate, but officials aren't all as stupid as they seem.
“What about numbers? We could use numbers instead of letters so A would be 1 etc.”
"Your right about that," Nykidia said. "A fusion of the two?"
“That could also work, what do you guys think?”
"A fusion of which two?" Nykidia asked.
“Numbers and letters?”
Nykidia shook her head. "To easy to decode. How about sign language with numbers and letters?"
“Sure that would work.” Kaliyah said
"Good."
“What about you guys?” She asked the griup
Fynn nodded. "I know the alphabet and numbers up to twenty in sign language, so that could work."
“Alright then.”
"Does anyone need me to teach them?" Nykidia asked looking around.
“I think I’m good.” Kaliyah said, remembering the times she spent in the punishment room practising her signing
Kaelyn looked at the few in the room. This was actually happening. Kaelyn couldn't believe they were actually going to do this. "If anyone does need to learn how to sign, we can teach you…"
"Nobody?" Nykidia asked looking around.
