Sequoia made a face at her and wrapped herself in covers. The levity of the moment was wearing off quickly, and though she wanted to stay awake longer, talk to Aniña more, she could barely keep her eyes open. "Stay?" She asked, eyes fluttering shut when a yawn overtook her. She hoped Aniña would cuddle with her. Having another person beside her made everything seemed so much warmer and nicer.

Aniña chuckled and climbed into the bed with her, wrapping her wife in her arm, “Yes, I’ll stay.” She said gently, pressing a kiss to the top of Sequoia’s head. She was feeling slight tired herself and her arm throbbed but she ignored it. She’d be fine.

Sequoia's smile was tinged with exhaustion when she kissing Aniña on the cheek in return. It didn't take her long to curl into her wife- intertwining their legs and nuzzling her neck. She fell asleep within minutes.

@ElderGod-Carrots

Aniña was awake for longer after Sequoia fell asleep, thinking though everything that had happened in the past hour or so. She was glad that everything did happen though and her deja vu had been explained. After a while, she finally fell asleep.

Sequoia woke up swaddled in warmth, feeling inexplicably happy. There was another person in bed with her. Aniña, her mind supplied, running through the small list of people she trusted to sleep in the same bed as her. It was depressingly small, but at least she knew who she was with. "You awake?"

@ElderGod-Carrots

Aniña groaned a little and just cuddled more into Sequoia, still asleep. She’d barely slept, waking up what felt like every few minutes as the pain in her arm and frown. She’d finally managed to fall asleep about an hour before her wife woke up.

If that wasn't just the best thing that had happened all day. Sequoia plopped a kiss onto Aniña's head. Wasting away in bed all day didn't seem like the worst thing in the world. She'd been skipping out on relaxation time recently and it was really starting to take its toll. Any more stress and she'd start breaking out.

@ElderGod-Carrots

After about ten minutes, Aniña's eyes fluttered open slowly, a faint groan coming from her, "Why'd you have to mooove?" She whined, burying her head into the crook of Sequoia's neck. She was still extremely tired.

(Heading to bed. Night)

“Because it’s morning time. What do you want to do today?” The manor was delightfully full of wonders, Sequoia could tell. Even if she wouldn’t dare walk back into the woods, there should be pleanty to do.

@ElderGod-Carrots

(Okay, night)

Aniña shrugged a shoulder and closed her eyes again, "Why does it have to be mooorning… and I don't know…" She muttered onto Sequoia's neck, yawning a little.

Sequoia ruffled Aniña's hair with a smile, pressing a kiss onto her wife's head. "If you're tired we can sleep in." Honestly, Sequoia could sleep for hours as long as there was a warm body beside her. She could sleep for days as long as Aniña was there. It really didn't matter because she had an Aniña who liked her again. An Aniña who she could kiss again.

@ElderGod-Carrots

Aniña nodded, “That sounds like a good plan…” Her arm hurt like hell but she didn’t want to stress Sequoia out. Not after everything she’d told her. For now they could just rest in bed. Together, “I have an idea for what we could do today…” She said, a playful grin forming.

"What is it, Habibi? Oh- We need to change your bandages out later! Remember that for me." They would have to send somebody out into town to fetch bandages if they were going to keep this up. It would probably be a good idea to grab some painkillers too. "Oh, do you want any painkillers? There're some left in the first aid kit."

@ElderGod-Carrots

“I’ll have some in a bit…” Aniña said, waving a hand idly before it draped over Sequoia’s middle, “And we could explore the tunnels in this place. I’m pretty sure they go into the mountains…” She hadn’t been here and explored the tunnels for ages and didn’t actually know if they were still accessible. But it was worth a try.

"That sounds cool! Uh… how closed in are they? I don't do great in closed in spaces." That was an understatement. Sequoia hated small spaces with a firey, undying passion. It stemmed from a few childhood punishments that would probably leave her scarred forever.

@ElderGod-Carrots

Aniña shrugged a shoulder, “I can’t remember. They’re pretty spacious if I remember correctly… and I’ll be there with you the entire time but if you don’t want to explore we don’t have too.” Aniña looked up at Sequoia and smiled a little and pressed a kiss to her jawline. She wanted to make sure Sequoia was going to be okay in the tunnels if they went in them.

"Oh, I can do wide spaces. It's just tiny dark places that scare me. And rats. And cockroaches. As long as we don't run into any of those, I'll be fine." Exploring some interesting tunnels could be super fun. She just had to make sure they didn't get lost. Maybe she could pull a Saint Varic and bring some yarn.

@ElderGod-Carrots

Aniña rolled her eyes a little but smiled, “I’ll be there with you the entire time, Liran…” She muttered, burying her face in the crook of Sequoia’s neck again. She didn’t even realise when the pet name slipped out of her mouth.

Sequoia hummed happily. She was Liran again. Aniña trusted and treasured her enough to give her an important pet name. "I know. That's why I'm not freaking out. You'll be right beside me Habibi."

@ElderGod-Carrots

Aniña hummed her acknowledgement and let out a small sigh. Sleep sounded really good again, and having not slept well that night, it didn’t take long for her to fall asleep again, still snuggled into Sequoia.

Sequoia tucked Aniña neatly into her side. Her notebook was right on the nightstand beside her so she grabbed it. Going through her notes might clue her in on a breakthrough about the poison. Even if she barely had anything to go by. For books so thick, the encyclopedias had held little information.

@ElderGod-Carrots

As Aniña slept, she curled more into Sequoia as if her wife was protecting her. Nightmares had begun to plague her again and for some reason they were worse then they had been for a while. After about half ann hour, Aniña woke up with a start.

Sequoia was on it when Aniña woke up. Reassuring whispers were already spilling from her lips and she was already stroking her wife's hair. Her notebook lay abandoned at the foot of the bed where she had thrown it so Aniña could lay down comfortably on her lap- if that was what she wanted. "It's okay. What's wrong? Nightmare?"

@ElderGod-Carrots

Aniña nodded, “Yeah… something like that…” She took a few deep breaths to calm herself down before leaning her head on Sequoia’s shoulder, her presence comforting and reassuring that she was going to be okay.

"Do you need anything? Water?" Sequoia pulled the blanket from her waist, ready to get up and grab whatever was needed. She could grab some bandages and painkillers while she was up. There was no way Aniña could be comfortable right now.

Deleted user

"Okay. Just so you know, you're never a burden to me. I will always be willing to help you out." Aniña didn't quite seem to be telling the truth. Then again, she didn't seem to know what to do with support and comfort. Sequoia moved her notebook from the floor of the bed to the nightstand. "Wanna cuddle?"

@ElderGod-Carrots

Aniña nodded again, “Y-Yeah…” She said quietly, curling in on herself a little. Her entire body was beginning to hurt and movement was becoming harder. Even bringing her legs to her chest was beginning to hurt and she hoped Sequoia didn’t notice her wince.

Sequoia wished people could just be honest around her. Sure, she was being kind of hypocritical, but it would really make everything easier if people let her know what they needed. Especially Aniña. Poor wincing Aniña who refused to let Sequoia do anything for her. She popped off the bed, snatching up the painkillers and bandages. "I'm going to re-wrap your shoulder. Can't bleed all over the bed, can we? Take some painkillers."

@ElderGod-Carrots

Aniña sighed a little but sat up, “Okay… if you want me too I’ll take the pain killers but I really don’t need them.” She knew she shouldn’t lie, especially to Sequoia but she couldn’t help it. She’d never had someone take care of her before.
