"Mmm. This feels like a dream. Are we dreaming?" Sequoia snuggled into her wife, humming happily. Everything felt so warm and nice. She honestly wouldn't be surprised if she woke up from this in her room with Aniña still dying of poison. It felt too good to be real.

@ElderGod-Carrots

Aniña chuckled and shook her head, "No, we aren't dreaming, I can assure you." If this was a dream it was the best dream she'd had in a while but would also be terribly upset at the same time. Luckily she was sure it was reality.

"Good. If I woke up alone after this I'd probably cry." If this all turned out to be a dream she would probably start tossing books across the room. But if Aniña thought this was reality, then she was probably right. Aniña was the kind of person who knew what was going on.

@ElderGod-Carrots

"No, no don't say stuff like that. I don't want you to cry." Aniña didn't want Sequoia to feel unhappy. Never again. But this was real and Sequoia wasn't going to wake up without her anymore.

"I won't. Actually, I might cry because this is so wonderful and nice, but I won't cry from sadness," Sequoia assured, patting Aniña's arms comfortingly. Aniña wasn't going to leave her alone so she didn't need to cry anymore. Everything was going to be okay.

@ElderGod-Carrots

Aniña chuckled, it was good to know that if Sequoia was going to cry it was going to be from happiness and not some negative emotion, "That's good to hear, because I don't want you to be sad." She said, pulling Sequoia closer.

Sequoia pressed a little kiss to Aniña's cheek "Somehow I think you'll help me out with that. It's pretty hard to be sad when you're holding me so close, Habibi." A majority of her sadness sprouted from her parents and from loneliness. Neither of those things would be much of a problem anymore. Now, Aniña'a father was pretty shitty and Sequoia had the feeling she wouldn't like him, but for the most part, her old troubles were over.

@ElderGod-Carrots

Aniña laughed a little and nodded, "That's good to hear, Liran." And it was. It was nice to know that Aniña of all people could bring someone happiness and that was something she didn't think would ever be possible. But it turns out it was and she was mighty glad about it.

Sequoia was glad Aniña seemed happy with her. "Mmm. Let's play a question game. Get to know one another better." Although she really liked Aniña, she didn't know much about her beyond what she'd been told. Sequoia wanted to be able to hear what Aniña had to say about herself.

@ElderGod-Carrots

Aniña popped her head up on her hand, "Alright, that sounds like a good idea. Want me to ask first or the other way around?" She asked, letting out a small breath. This was a good idea as they didn't know much about each other beside the basics so this should be fun.

Deleted user

That was a good question. Sequoia didn't have any good questions in mind, but she had been the person to start the game so she kind of felt obliged to ask first. But this wouldn't go very far if she took 18 years to ask a damn question. "Can you? I'm blanking on things to ask about."

@ElderGod-Carrots

Aniña chuckled and nodded, "Alright. Okay so…" She thought for a moment, trying to think of a good question to ask, "If you could change one thing about your past, what would you change?"

Deleted user

Oof, a sad answer right off the bat. Sequoia didn;t have the best past and most of her problems stemmed from a single source "Parents, definitely. If I could I'd get a new Umi and Ab who actually cared about me." Now she had to think about a question. Fuck. "Uh… what's your best memory?"

@ElderGod-Carrots

Aniña thought for a moment. She didn't have many good memories but there was one that stuck out like a sore thumb, "My Malia and I took a trip down to the Harria falls one evening and watched the stars fall from the sky," She sighed a little, "It was magical. If you could wake up tomorrow having gained one quality or ability, what would it be?"

Deleted user

Sequoia didn't even hesitate to think, she just spat out, "Mind reading. But only the kind of mind reading where you can turn it on and off because nonstop mindreading just sounds shitty." Being able to hear someone's thoughts would give you all their secrets and teach you how to best deal with them. It gave you ultimate power over someone. "Do you have any siblings… or nieces and nephews and cousins and shit?"

@ElderGod-Carrots

"No cousins and what not but I have a brother, Gryth. As much as he is a bastard… he looks out for me in his own way," Aniña sighed and remembered all the fights they used to have over stupid little things and bigger things but then also all the good sibling moments that went with it, " What's the worst prank you've ever pulled?"

Deleted user

(Heading to bed. Have a good night)

"Oh, I haven't pulled any pranks. They were never really worth the punishment I'd get for them." IF Sequoia had pulled a prank, she just would've gotten her calves hit with a switch and had her privacy taken away for a month or so. No payoff was worth that to her. "Coolest thing you've ever done."

@ElderGod-Carrots

(Thanks, see you soon)

"Um…" Aniña frowned a little and tried to think of something 'cool' and nothing came to mind. "I don't know… I don't think I've ever done anything that is worthy of being called cool. Favourite type of food?"

Deleted user

Never done anything cool? That wouldn't do, Sequoia would have to go back over that and find out the true coolness of Aniña. "Um… anything sugary is really good, but I have a soft spot for lokma. It's like… deep fried honey covered dough balls.

@ElderGod-Carrots

Aniña made a face, “Honey? Nope, that’s not acceptable. That shit is gross.” She’d always hated honey for some reason. Didn’t like the texture or the taste and hasn’t touched it since she was a kid.

Deleted user

"You heathen! Honey is the nectar of the saints!" Sugar wasn't always readily available in Sequoia's country as they had a terrible climate for growing sugar cane and supply got blocked off quite often. Honey was in full supply though, so she was free to guzzle it by the barrelful. And she did. "Why do you hate honey?"

@ElderGod-Carrots

Aniña shrugged, “It just tastes weird. And then texture is all wrong and just… everything is bad about it.” She explained. She sighed a little, “Your turn to ask a question.”

Deleted user

Sequoia wrinkled her nose jokingly, pressing a kiss onto Aniña's cheek. Honey was delicious and she would stand by it until she died. "You're crazy, but I'll go again." What was a good question to ask? What was a good 'get to know you' question? "What kind of person do you find most beautiful?"

@ElderGod-Carrots

“Anyone with a good heart I guess, so people like yourself. You don’t find many people like that in my country so when you do it’s… nice. People like you may seme weak on the outside but they’re strong in their own way, and you’re really strong so I guess anyone like you.” Aniña answered, shrugging a shoulder as if it was no big deal.

Deleted user

"Aww, that's so sweet! I think I find… like… physical strength really attractive. Just, someone who'd be able to protect me but still has a good heart and wouldn't hurt me. So… kind of you, I guess." Sequoia smiled cheerily. She had always liked being protected because feeling secure was kind of rare for her. Aniña was like an anchor keeping her weighed into reality.

@ElderGod-Carrots

Aniña smiled at Sequoia and pecked her cheek, “Thanks, Liran. Uh next question, do you believe in different universes?” She asked, raising an eyebrow.

Deleted user

Different universes? Sequoia had never really heard about universes other than their own, but now that she had, she really wanted to know. What would life be like in another universe? What would people be like? "Well, I've never heard of any other universes, so no… I guess. What's your favorite place?"

@ElderGod-Carrots

Herria falls, definetily,” Aniña had always like it there. The peacefulness, the quiet and being away from everything at home, “What’s your favourite place?”

Deleted user

"Stables at the palace." The stables were the one place where she excelled. The horses loved her and she sometimes felt like she was her best self when she was on to of one. Especially because the only time she ever please her parents was through horseback riding. What's the best way to wake up in the morning?"

@ElderGod-Carrots

“With you by my side.” Aniña replied, blushing slightly. It was true, she’d felt happier with Sequoia by her side when she woke up in the morning, “Do you think magic is real?”
