(I’m dead now, some of you have never taken a swim final and it shows >-<)

(Oof that sounds tiring as hell, then again, the word "finals" alone sounds tiring)

@KalamariCakes

Here's everything that I know (or remember):

  • Once when Washington was ill, his doctor suggested doing something he finds relaxing. He brings Jefferson and Hamilton on a fishing trip, and it turned out just as bad as you'd expect it to!
  • Jefferson once ate a tomato at a cabinet meeting, successfully tricking the entire group that he'd just poisoned himself. Luckily his studies of French culinaries gave him the knowledge that tomatoes are perfectly safe ;)
  • Hamilton is from the island Nevis, a primarily sugarcane farming island, torn between African, French, Spanish, and English cultures. In his times the island was called "The Queen of the Caribs".
  • Hamilton had a brother named Levi and a half-brother named Peter.
  • Hamilton was self-conscious about the little bump on his nose.
  • Hamilton wore pads to make his calves look swole.
  • George Washington never powdered his hair— its all real in its luscious georgeousness.
  • Jefferson thought powdered wigs looked like dead rats
  • Hamilton had a strong prejudice against alcohol consumption thanks to his father, whom was potentially abusive (same for Laurens's father, Henry)

All fabulous facts, however let me add some more regarding more minor characters:

  • Angelica once slapped Jefferson so hard he wouldn’t go to parties if he knew she’d be there.

  • “I’m well aware that I’ve set myself on fire. I don’t need your pity water either. Let me burn in peace.” -Elizabeth Schuyler-Hamilton, upon accidentally lighting her sleeve with a candle.

  • Peggy once saved her little sister’s and her father’s life by lying to the face of an armed assassin.

  • Jefferson not only ate a tomato in Congress, he often would eat Mac and Cheese during meetings. So often, in fact, that they had to ban food in the meetings because everyone thought it was disgusting.

  • James Madison once wrote four letters back and forth for/to Congress and George Washington.

-JMads also once refused to go outside for a week after he lost his hat.

  • Burr. Oh Burr. He once spent about $40 modern dollars on a coconut. He also wrote an obscene amount of melodramatic diary entries when he list his umbrella with a knife hidden in it.

  • He also lit himself on fire trying to light a candle with a gun.

  • George Washington used to use his silverware as drumsticks.

Fun fact! Washington died as a result of the common medical technique of bloodletting. The doctors at the time had greatly overestimated the amount of blood in the body, and drained over 80 oz. of blood (around 2.5 liters and 40% of the blood in the body) from Washington in an attempt to cure what was likely just a minor sickness.

Washington had a ton of dogs (one was named Sweetlips), and once accidentally found the dog of British General Howe. They called a truce and Washington returned the dog to his owner.
