The woman he was talking to nodded. “Hello! Could I get a name and phone number, please?”
Met walked into the visitor’s room but didn’t sit. He caught gaze of his comfy, favorite armchair, but he didn’t sit in it. He should probably go back to thr cafeteria. He shrugged, passing the idea away.

“Oliver Savvas” He says and gives his number, “when can I see everyone?” He asks eagerly

Deleted user

“You can see them right now! Visiting hours began five minutes ago. Kids should be finishing up now.” She smiled and pointed him to a room. “The majority of them’ll be over there.”

Deleted user

“Thank you!” He walks into the room she pointed to and looks around, smiling once he sees all of kids. He waves to a few younger kids

Deleted user

A few younger kids waved back from Met’s side. One had noticed him skulking and called a few of their fellows over. The youngest one was holding Met’s hand, making him crouch slightly.

Deleted user

Oliver sees a tall boy surrounded by younger kids, he walks over, figuring him to be a worker, “hello!” He says to the boy and kids

Deleted user

Met smiled gingerly up at Oliver. “Hi there.”
The kids chided their greetings happily, jumping about excitedly.

Deleted user

Oliver smiles larger, he looks at the younger kids and then Met, “you don’t happen to work here do you?”

Deleted user

Met shook his head a little, his hair flicking. “No. I’m an orphan, here.”
One of the kids hugged Met’s legs. “The Friendly Giant deserves a home, though!”

Deleted user

“Oh! Sorry, you’re awfully tall!” Oliver says, he was used to looking up to people, being very short, but not people much younger than him, he smiles, “how old’re you…mister Friendly Giant?”

Deleted user

Met glanced down at his big bare feet. “I suppose I am. The ladies who work here think I’m going to be taller. I’m only sixteen.”

Deleted user

“Goodness, I can definitely see why your nickname has giant in it…and i fugure you’re awfully nice based on the kids around you” he sticks his hands in his pockets, “what’s your name?” Oliver asked
He felt something in his gut that was telling him to get to know this kid better. It could be because he lost both of his parents around his age, or maybe because he seems like such a natural with kids.

Deleted user

Met glanced up. “My nickname’s Met. My real name’s Metaphorical Whembrooke. What’s your name?” He felt inclined to be polite and nice to the adult, just to set a standard and good role-model for the little kids bouncing at his feet.

Deleted user

“Oliver, Oliver Savvas! You have a very interesting name, much cooler than mine” he says with a laugh

Deleted user

Met shrugged. “I don’t really like mine, much.” His nicknamed reminded him of his mother, who carried around his surname. His first, reminded him of his stepfather, who was named something along the lines.

Deleted user

He looks at him for a short while, before looking at his watch and realizing how much time had passed, “Well, at least people don’t call you a gross food as a nickname!” He laughs again

Deleted user

Met chewed on his lip nervously. He didn’t like to stand here for so long. He felt like he was being interrogated.
“I like olives. They’re quite nice.”

Deleted user

Oliver notices his nervousness, he becomes self conscious and hopes he isn’t coming on too strong, “Well, that makes one of us” he smiles, “I suppose I should get goin’”

Deleted user

Met shifted his slight weight around and nodded a little. He silently ridiculed himself for scaring off Oliver.
“Sorry. See you around.”

Deleted user

He smiles brightly, “see you around” he waves and walks to the front desk, starting to walk out, but feeling the need to stop at the front desk and trying to get the woman’s attention.

Deleted user

The woman glanced up, her attention caught, and beamed. “Hi there, Oliver. Did you enjoy your visit?”

Deleted user

“I did!” He smiles back, before he can stop himself, the next couple of words leave his mouth in a rush, “The kid in there, the older one, Met…is he…open for adoption?” He asks curiously

Deleted user

The lady shifted in her seat to see Oliver better over the monitor. “Met? Oh, yes, lf course he is! He’s absolutely dying to get adopted. He’s such a sweet boy, but he has a… different opinion of women.”

Deleted user

“Different opinion?” He tilts his head slightly, he doesn’t see this as much of a problem for the time being, since he just got out of a relationship, with a male, but in the future he wanted to know what to expect.

Deleted user

She hummed and nodded. “He’s rather afriad of them. He always jumps when one sneaks up on him or enters his room without warning. We think he might’ve been abused somehow by one, because he has burn scars on his chest. We had found this out when he was a child. They!re probably still there.”

Deleted user

He nods quietly and looks through the small window at the children running around, Oliver loved small children but there was something about Met. He needed someone, and soon, “I don’t currently have a woman in the house…and I’d love to have Met as my..son.”

Deleted user

The woman beamed warmly. “That’s wonderful! I’m sure he’ll be very happy to go home with you.”

Deleted user

Oliver looks back at the group of children, “should I go let him know, or will you?”

Deleted user

The lady hummed. “I can page him over, or you can go over there and tell him yourself. It’ll take a few days for your registration to go through, but he’ll need that time to pack. Ir’s now or never.”

Deleted user

He pats the counter, “I’ll go do the honors myself, thank you for your help ma’am!” Oliver quickly strides back into the room and towards Met
