Liará looked out the window with her, "Wow… that place is huge!"

(Okie!)

Kaliyah kept smiling until the carriage stopped. The door opened and the footman spoke up “m’lady, if I may help you down?” He raised his hand and kicked down the step

“After you.” Liará smiled at Kaliyah and ran a hand through her short brown hair.

Kaliyah smiled and stepped out into the bright sun. She smiled and took a deep breath “lilacs! I can smell lilacs!” She said happily

Liará stepped out after her with a small giggle, “Yup. Those are definetly lilacs, come on then.” She offered her hand for Kaliyah to take.

Kaliyah took her hand and they walked up towards the house. The stepped inside to see the maids, cooks, stables hands, and all others in the manor waiting to greet them. “Welcome home missus!” The man in front said “I am Gustavo, also called Gus, and I am the head cook. It is an honour to meet you.” He said, bowing. Kaliyah giggled

Liará rolled her eyes a little but smiled, “It’s nice to meet you, Gus. And the honor is all ours.” She curtsied a little.

Kaliyah also curtsied and then looked around the room to see eyes looking at them. “We need our stuff taken to our rooms, and can we be shown our rooms?” She asked polietly

A couple of the maids nodded and quickly hurried off to grab their bags.
"This way to your rooms." Another one said and Liará nodded and followed.

While following the maid, Kaliyah took in the details of the house. It was a large manor with many rooms. Upon entering, they find themselves in a large foyer with a grand staircase leading up a flight, then splitting into two other sets of stairs which led up to two separate areas. They went up the left stairs and found themselves in a hallway. “This is the ball room. And down these halls and to the right are your rooms.” The maid explained, showin them their rooms

“Thank you so much.” Liará said, giving the maid a smile before she scurried off.
“Come on, let’s go see those rooms.”

“Alright then.” Kaliyah walked with Liará to her room first

Liará pushed open the door gently. It wasn’t big, but that was what she liked. A bed, bookshelves, couches and fire place and a bathroom to the side, “Not bad.”

“It’s beautiful!” Kaliyah said. She walked into the washroom and it was beautiful. A large tub with gold faucets. Jars and containers of all sorts were stored in a cabinet in the back. The basin was also large and the stand beside it had many towels. “There is another door… it leads into my room.” Kaliyah said happily

“Nice, midnight pranks will be easier this way.” Liará jokes, sending a wink Kaliyah’s way with a charming grin.

Kaliyah laughed “you had better watch out, my dear.” Just then a maid knocked in the door “m’ladies, please freshen up then lunch will be served.”

"Yes! Food and I get to change out of this stupid dress." Liará grinned and placed a kiss to Kaliyah's cheek before rushing off to change.

Kaliyah gaped at her retreating figure affection… she went through the connecting door and came into her room. She changed into a very simple black and green training outfit with a cloak, put her hair in a braided bun, and put in her shoes before leaving her room

Liará quickly changed into a pair of black pants and a navy blue and gold tunic. She pulled her hair into a half up braid. She put on a pair of shoes before walking out the room, smiling a little.

Kaliyah saw Liará exit her room and waited for her so they could go down together.

Liará skidded down the hall and next to Kaliyah, grinning, "Ready to go?" she held out her hand.

“Of course my dear.” Kaliyah smiled at her and they made their way to the dining hall

The sweet smell of a fine cooked meal drifted out from the dining hall and Liará smiled, “Damn that smells good.”

“My tummy is growling at me.” She laughed

“Same.” She laughed with her before opening the doors

The walked in the maids immediately served them. Music started playing and Kaliyah relaxed “this meat is delicious, what is it?” She asked

“I think it’s lamb…” Liará said, taking a bite and a maid nodded.
“Yes, it is lamb.”

“How odd that in my kingdom, father never had lamb cooked.” Kaliyah said to herself while finishing her food. Once she cleaned her plate, the maid cleared her side of the table and brought out many different desserts.
