But like, I have about like 5-10 seconds with the kids (handing out candy with my youth group) and my friend is there (kids love her for some reason idk y) and I want the kids to like me? My friend will probably be next to me (people associate us together and she's rlly attached to me) and I want to be loved by 6 year olds :)

Just talk to them, engage them. Ask them questions about themselves. Like what’s your favorite candy? Color? Etc. or you could comment on their costume. Tell them how you like it.

(not that they weren't good enough, I'm just the kind of person who googles stuff 3 weeks before the actual event :)

Treat them like they are a person your age but also like a really cool one. Little kids like to seem as if they are older than they are and a lot cooler than they are.

I have no advice for kids…

How I get kids to love me. tell them they are special and I give them an extra piece of candy because they are so special. (It works like a charm. They all walk away with their heads a little higher…)
