I'd like to join, I may be new to the site but I promise that I'm not new to RPing! Also I'm kind of super wanting to try RPing this character from an anime I watched in a different environment/genre. It'd be Edward Elric from Fullmetal Alchemist, with any necessary changes.

Is that anime good? I've been meaning to watch it, and sure you can join! I would prefer if you use an oc but if needed you can use Elric.

(I would really like to use Ed, and FMA is honestly my favorite anime. 18/10 would recommend. Though I'd suggest you watch the Brotherhood version first, things are a little less emotionally damaging and actually follow the manga closer. PM me if you want me to elaborate on that XD
I'll be using Ed with his 2003 backstory altered a little bit to fit into this story, btw.)

Name: Edward "Ed" Elric

Sexuality: Heterosexual/straight
Appearance: Ed has long straw-colored hair that he wears back in a braid. His bangs are parted in the middle, and a small bit sticks up like an antenna at the part. He has golden eyes, fair skin, and is very short(canon height: 150cm or 4'11). Edward doesn't have a "superhero costume" and instead wears his casual clothes anywhere. Heck, trouble tends to find him anyway. His attire consists of a black sleeveless top underneath a black jacket with white trim, and the shirt is tucked into high(like I'm pretty sure they come up past his belly button lol) black pants. This is generally all worn under a red cloak that has an insignia on the back of it. Ed's boots are black with red bottoms, and he always wears white gloves. I could probably link up a reference if you needed me to.
Personality: Edward tends to get into fights relatively easily. He is stubborn to a T and sticks up for what he believes in. Ed is also incredibly loyal. He's intelligent, too, and mature for his age…unless you call him short. Often, he'll act impulsively and wind up neck deep in trouble.
Background: Ed's father left him and his younger brother, Alphonse, when they were very young. A few years later, their mother fell ill and died. Ed and Al had been learning alchemy from their dad's books, which he'd left behind, and eventually they were taken on by a teacher. Finally, they attempted something that was forbidden: they tried to bring back their mother. Ed lost his left leg and right arm, and Alphonse was killed. Thankfully, Ed didn't bleed out on the floor because his neighbors, the Rockbells, heard something was going on and went over to investigate. They were both mechanics, and outfitted Ed with special prosthetics. Ed moved out to the city several years later to search out the "Philosopher's Stone" to try and restore his body. NOTE: The Rockbells aren't a couple, they're an elderly woman named Pinako and her granddaughter Winry.

Talents: Alchemy, he's good at fighting, and he's also very smart

Other: Not really much I can think of to put here. I wound up editing a bit more of Ed's backstory than I would have liked…And I'm not really good at describing magics and stuff. Personality: Cold, closed off, doesn't trust easily, sarcastic, quiet, morally gray, easily annoyed, can get overwhelmed when things are too loud/chaotic
Background: He grew up with his mother until he was five, when she was shot and killed. A man saved him from being killed as well and introduced himself as Carter's father. He left the boy with his other son, Carter's half-brother who was ten years older than the five-year-old, and from then on Carter was raised in a life of crime. Their father had been the leader of a dangerous gang, and his brother was part of it as well. His brother, Peter, a ruthless man who only seemed to care for himself and Carter, eventually killed their father. He became the new leader of the gang and continued to raise Carter in whatever way he saw fit. One day, Carter ran from the gang and never looked back. He's fairly sure that Peter knows where he is, though neither of them have reached out to each other

Appearance: Ashley has flaming curly orange hair and bright blue eyes. Her hair is kept up in a ponytail, with strands escaping at random. As with most redheads, she's a bit pale. Ashley usually just wears a sky blue hoodie jacket closed over a white tee-shirt, jeans, and blue sneakers.
Personality: She's one that I'd be better off just RPing out.
Background: Not really much out of the ordinary. Ashley starts off as mostly just fighting miscellaneous small-time bad guys whenever she sees them.
Greatest fear: Not being good enough
Power: Air manipulation and pyrokinesis
Talents: Ashley is athletic and knows how to survive in the woods if need be.

Appearance: Marrin has large golden eyes that flash different colors when Marrin feels a strong emotion, the colors mostly stay on the warm color scheme. Marrin has a farmers tan and a bit of a sunburn, skin dotted with freckles. Marrin's hair is styled in a comb-over style and is usually dyed in grey colors. Marrin stands at a tall 6'4 and has an angular body frame.
Personality: Marrin is quite bipolar, happy one moment then furious the next. Usually, Marrin is a no-nonsense teacher-like person, very sarcastic but caring. Though completely insane, Marrin still enjoys being with little kids and is very protective
