Cameron gently stroked her hair once they were in the elevator. “It’s alright, love. We’ll get some stuff for the burn and me and my perfect skin’ll leave you alone.” Perfect skin was an overstatement, though. He had all kinds of little acne scars and little pimples on his arms.
Lilah groaned and carefully leaned against him. "You're not funny…"
Cameron gave a gentle, rumbly laugh and wrapped an arm around her carefully. “I know I’m not. But I will leave you alone if you want me to.”
"No, don't leave me alone," Lilah sighed, chewing on her lip. "I mean, alone alone, anyway. You can stop with the sunburn jokes."
(aloe-n)
Cameron smiled and nodded. “I get it. I’ll stay with you, then. Is it okay if I help put aloe on your back?”
(Why, though?)
"We need to get my brother and Jessica, though," Lilah sighed. "And… Yeah, you can help with the aloe…"
“We can just text them,” Cameron answered. The elevator stopped and he helped her to their suite, unlocking the door and sitting her down in a kichen chair.
"Right, of course," Lilah sighed. "Where's the aloe?"
Cameron walked into the bedroom and grabbed the handy bottle of aloe, bringing it out to her. “Right here. Right… so how are we gonna do this?”
"Um… I think it would probably be best if I lay on my stomach and you can put it on my back," Lilah said thoughtfully. "So the bedroom would probably work best…"
Cameron nodded and helped her down from the chair and to the bedroom. Cameron set the other stuff down, letting her get herself situated.
Lilah sighed and laid on her stomach. She crossed her arms in front of herself and rested her chin on them, hoping that it wouldn't hurt too badly.
Cameron gathered up a healthy portion of aloe and started gently rubbing it into her back. He sat down next to her so he could rest his legs.
Lilah let out a soft groan and closed her eyes. She knew Cameron was trying to be as gentle as possible, but it still hurt.
Cameron applied the aloe extract evenly across her burn and moved her hair from her neck. He grabbed a bit more and rubbed some on her neck.
“Alright, that should be enough.”
"Thanks, Cam," Lilah sighed. "I can already feel it working."
Cameron smiled and rubbed his hands off on a towel. “You're welcome Lilah.”
"I'm going to be so bored," Lilah murmured. "What am I supposed to do if I can't move?"
Cameron rubbed her head. “Dunno. Just don’t get stiff.”
"Wow, thanks, love. You're so helpful," Lilah muttered, burying her face in her arms.
Cameron laughed gently and leaned down to kiss her head. “At least you have me to talk to.”
Lilah hummed in agreement and propped her chin up on her arms again. "That's true. You're good company. Most of the time."
Cameron chuckled and booped her nose gently. “Thanks, dear, I appreciate it.”
"I'm defenseless! How could you boop the nose of a defenseless person?" Lilah gasped in feigned horror.
Cameron cackled in feigned evilness. “Because I am Cameron “Impossible” Tobias Metzler!”
"Oh, no! Whatever shall I do? I'm trapped!" Lilah giggled.
Cameron chuckled happily and booped her nose. “You’ll just have to suffer through.”
"Ack! No fair!" Lilah laughed, covering her face with a hand.
Cameron cackled again. “It’s wonderful to be impossible!”
"Meanie," Lilah giggled, peeking through her fingers at him with a smile.
