(Okayyy)
There had been a noise in the trees, something like wings flapping, but that could have been a bird. Could have been a lot of things, and it happened to be Haven, perched in the high branch of a closeby tree. Her wings were something like a sparrows, but they appeared to be ripped up and twisted in odd directions at some areas of them. But in a moment, they were gone and folded. She always hated doing so, as they would begin to ache after a period of time. But something interesting seemed to be happening somewhere nearby, and she opted that staying hidden among the leaves and branches was the best idea.
Head snapping up, Anastasia watches the winged woman rest on the branch above her. Locking her eyes on the figure, she makes a curious trilling noise, an imitation of a bird call. Waiting patiently, she wonders what the woman will do.
Haven’s deep brown irises glanced away from the two older men at the sound of the “bird”. It sounded close to a bird’s chirp, but there was something off about it that made her believe otherwise. She wasn’t dim, she had been around on this miserable Earth to know what was going on. After looking around, she met the gaze of another woman, who also appeared to be listening in on the men. Seems like she wasn’t the only curious one.
Sora could only hope that who or whatever it was increasing the noise would distract the two men away from the tree she was hiding beneath. With her bright flaming hair, she was a bit shocked she hadn't been seen. Or perhaps she had by the beings who seemed to be coming closer rather than the couple. Either way, she would probably die.
"Vos…" Kain trailed off, a confused expression clouding his face. "Have you noticed something a bit… odd about this forest?" The hair on the back of his neck started to rise as the feeling of something–nay, someone–watching him. That's when he noticed it; the silence. No birds were singing or chirping, but how could they if they aren't here. His hand tightened around Vos's before slowly letting go. He tapped his cane on the ground, anxiousness becoming evident in his movements.
Haven’s eyes narrowed at the men. Their energies, or one of their energies, seemed of a nervous sorts. She wondered if she, or the other woman she had seen, could be seen. She felt a sort of.. fear? That wasn’t normal. This goddamn human vessel. She was an angel. Certainly not a fighter, but she shouldn’t be fearful.
Vos stilled a bit at that. His eyes narrowed as he looked around, his eyes a brighter shade of violet. He seemed to be looking at nothing and everything, and after a moment he looked directly at a girl in the brush a few feet away. "I suggest you come out of hiding, child," he said calmly, his eyes narrowed in a wary way
Slinking back into the deep brush, Anastasia keeps her gaze on the men, casting wary glances towards the women. Not one for needless confrontation, she yips, calling her pack to her side.
Kain had turned towards the bush and was ready to draw his sword but stopped himself as he heard Vos's last word. "A child?" He relaxed his stance before giving Vos an incredulous look, "You're sure it's just a child, Vohanu?"
"I'm older than this entire universe, I do not care if it is a proper child or not. This whole multiverse is but a child to me," Vos said as if it were obvious. He returned his attention to where he could see the electrical signature of the person through the brush
(Which person? XD)
(your character, Iris. and yeah Vos is actually the full length of the universe before it died times 4 so if he wants love he's stuck with people wayyyyyyy younger than him)
(Ok and oof)
Sora suddenly felt a heavy presence bearing down on her. Then she heard the older seeming of the two men. Glaring at the ground, she gripped her knife as hard as she could.
"Y'know it's far from polite to chat about a race's extinction, then demand things from someone you've never met," she spat angrily as she stood.
(okay yeah I'm gonna stop stalking this sorry)
(No no you can stalk if you want, please don't leaveeeeeeeeeeeeeee)
Haven looked over at the red haired woman at the sound of her voice. So, that’s what they had been talking about? Not that she minded getting rid of some humans. But there was a little thought and instict programmed into her self conscious by an unruly god.
(the words "pedophile" and "aroused" made me feel kinda sick so I'm gonna leave sorry)
(ohhh ok yeah)
(the words "pedophile" and "aroused" made me feel kinda sick so I'm gonna leave sorry)
(sorry… I'll stop.)
(oof sorry, I didn't mean for it to sound like that. Vos is not a pedo)
(Also Vos needs to say a thing)
(oh he does doesn't he lol)
Vos simply rolled his eyes at the comment, looking annoyed. "Apologies, but I believe that you need to watch your mouth. We were not the ones sitting in the bushes spying on people," he huffed
"I was never spying. I came out here like normal, heard you two chatting so casually about my kind's death, and naturally I didn't want to die," Sora replied with an obvious glare. Did no one care to hear both sides of the story anymore? And they thought it was just humans who were bad. She was also quite sure that the apology was quite empty, so what did being nice matter anymore.
"It's not our fault the human race is a pile of monkeys with guns," Vos huffed, his eyes narrowing more at at the young girl. Or, well. Young to him. "Now, why don't you run along and go play with your dolls or something," he hummed as he shooed the girl
Sora hummed in false thought for a moment before giving her reply. "Personally for someone who's reached an adult age, I prefer actual weapons, thanks. Plus, I've not done anything to bother you both. I think I'm just gonna stay here a bit," she said in a disgustingly sweet tone. The demon was already far beyond her nerves. Her pride refused to let common sense guide her into leaving as she leaned up against the tall pine to prove her point.
