(Jeez these Li- names are messing me up)
Cameron leaned off of the wall and grasped her hand in his. “Been doing good. You?” He smiled a bit. “Thanks.”
(Lol. I know, right? There are 4 of them…)
Lilah squeezed his hand with a smile.
"Been pretty good, actually. My parents have been going crazy, but that's nothing new. And…" Liam glanced over at Jess with a grin, taking her hand in his. "I've got some news to share…"
Cameron squished Lilah’s hand in his. “Well do tell,” He prompted, smiling.
"Well… Obviously, Jess and I have been dating for a while," Liam started, still grinning at his girlfriend. "But… We've passed that stage, now, and… I proposed. And she accepted…"
"What? Liam, Jess, you guys are engaged?" Lilah exclaimed with a gasp.
Cameron gave Lilah a look. “Ya, he just said so, dear.” He laughed and nudged her. “That’s wonderful!”
(My sister ate five bananas today and a bunch of strawberries… She's very shocked about it…)
"Yeah, congratulations, you two!" Lilah enthused, grinning. "I'm so happy for you!"
Liam chuckled and kissed Jess' cheek, and she blushed and looked down. "Thanks, you guys. Now, I believe we had plans, Lilah?"
"Oh, right! So… I know I said we would do BLTs for lunch, and that we were going to stay in today, but what do you think about a picnic by the lake?" Lilah asked Cameron, turning to face him with a hopeful look.
(My guy. That’s a lot of sugar.)
Cameron huffed. That was almost the exact opposite if what he wanted to do, but he shrugged.
“Sure, sounds good.”
(Yup. She said, multiple times, "I'm probably going to regret this tomorrow…")
Lilah bit her lip as she looked at him.
"Are you sure? Because we don't have to. I just thought it might be fun to do a double date since they ended up coming today. We don't have to if you don't want to," she said softly so that only he could hear.
(Bruh that’s just too much. That would kill a small rodent xD)
Cameron shook his head. “It’s fine. I don’t mind.” If they were going to treat this like a normal day, a normal double date, then maybe he'd enjoy himself.
"If you're sure…" Lilah said, looking at him for a moment longer.
Cameron nodded and looked at her. “I’ll be fine.”
(I’m stealing your template btw)
(Not surprised. Lol. It's super in-depth.)
"Okay. You guys brought suits, right?" Lilah asked, turning to her brother and his fiancée, who both nodded. "Great. You can use the guest room and its bathroom to change. Cam, we should go put suits on."
Cameron nodded. Wearing his suit gave him a good reason to wear his gym shorts again.
“Yes we should,” He agreed with a sigh in his voice.
"Okay, the guest room is just down the hall. You can't miss it," Lilah directed Liam and Jess, who stood, gave her a smile and a nod, and started toward it. Lilah looked back at Cameron with a slight frown. "Are you sure you're okay with this?"
Cameron nodded. “Yeah. I’m fine. It’s not a big deal.” He grinned a little.
"Okay. Good," Lilah sighed a bit, returning the smile. "Now, c'mon. Let's go change."
Cameron nodded. “I’m right behind you.” His grin faltered when she turned her back.
Lilah headed back to their room and stepped inside. Lilac was laying on her bed, curled up with Lily, and it looked like the dogs were taking a nap. Lilah smiled at them as she walked over to her dresser and pulled out her swimsuit.
Cameron passed them quietly and grabbed out his, unfolding them carefully. He tossed them onto the bed, as well as a pair of shorts and a tee.
Lilah gave Cameron a quick smile before heading to the bathroom to change. She frowned at herself in the mirror, worried she'd upset him. Maybe she shouldn't have invited her brother and Jess over… Granted, she hadn't thought they'd arrive on Cameron's birthday, but she still probably should have talked to Cameron about it first. After all, they did live together…
Cameron quickly shucked his clothes and got dressed, sitting down with a sigh. He really didn’t want to do much today, but a hopefully normal day at the lake might be okay.
Lilah changed into a sapphire blue tankini with a sparkling top. She sighed at herself before stepping out and sitting beside Cameron with a smile.
"You okay?" she asked softly, putting her hand over one of his.
Cameron looked up at her and smiled a bit. “I’m alright. You look great.” He stood up and took her in his arms, kissing her.
Lilah smiled as she kissed him back for a bit.
"Thanks, Cam," she chuckled.
Cameron gently kissed her cheek and let her go. “Alright. Ready to go?” He handed her a towel.
"Yup. Let's go," Lilah said, grinning at him as she took the towel and wrapped it around herself.
Cameron grabbed his towel and rubbed her shoulders in an affectionate gesture. ”You lead, love.”
Lilah reached up to peck his lips before she walked out of the room. She grabbed a pair of flip flops from beside the door and sat down on the couch, waiting for Liam and Jess.
Cameron grabbed on his sandals and looked around, still standing around. He hummed idly, picking at a stray thread on his shirt.
Jess walked out of the guest room, giggling and shaking her head.
"Aw, c'mon, Jess! You know I love you!" Liam laughed as he tailed after her.
