"Can I get a cinnamon bun?" He asked and mentally cursed himself, he stumbled on his words again. Why is English so hard? He complained in his mind as he ordered, he hated is accent at times like these. He saw the look of relief on the man's face and smiled, the man seemed annoyed already and he didn't want to make it worse.

It took a moment for Mika to understand what he had said with his accent. "Oh, a cinnamon bun? Sure thing," he said. "Did I get that right?"

Cameron looked quite embarrassed but quickly said. "Yes, that is correct." His face was red, he hated when people couldn't understand him. It happened a lot, mostly on ordering things.

Mika saw his red face, and immediately felt guilty. He probably offended him. "Sorry, it's been a while since I've done this. I'm supposed to be the manager, not the barista." He tried to cover up his mistake and emotions with a smile, while nervously twirling a lock of long hair around his finger.

"No, no. It's okay, my accent is somewhat confusing to people who are not Italian." He explains, fiddling with his fingers nervously. He hadn't met to make the other man uncomfortable, but he did. My accent is a sucky thing to have in America. He thought crossly.

"Uh, no thanks." He said after quickly skimming over the menu on the wall. "And I'm sorry that you're tired."

"Ah, okay!" He said, digging through his messenger bag and pulling out a wallet. He set a five dollar bill on th counter, extra for how nice the other man was being.

Same here, heh. I also have a big history test today…. I'm screwed//

@SaltyLasagna

(big oof, good luck with that man)
Mika smiled. "$1.71 is your change, I'll get your order right out for you." As he was talking, people began filing into the cafe, silent and tired with dark circles under their eyes. Mika's smile faltered for a moment. Morning rush was coming, and he was going to have to take it on all by himself.

"Thanks." Cam smiled before looking behind her, noticing other people. He hoped that the nice man would be able to handle the rush of angsty American teens and classic white girls.

I feel like Mika should do that "smooth" move where he puts his phone number on the cup. Also, my test was moved t monday!//

She's not, lets just pretend that Homophobia does not exsist in this world//

@SaltyLasagna

(he'll do it in a minute lol just one sec)
Mika took a deep breath and turned around, trying to make the person's tea as fast as possible. It took a couple of minutes. He was about to serve the order when he forgot that he never got their name. Mika stood there awkwardly for a minute, before settling on saying, "Hey, cute person with the chamomile tea? And the cinnamon bun?"

Deleted user

"Hmm?" Cam looked up when he heard his order, forgetting that he was supposed to give his name. "Merde." He muttered as he made his way to the counter, planning his apology. "I am so sorry, I forgot I had to give my name."

@SaltyLasagna

"No, no it's fine! I was supposed to ask you." He was about to pass the guy his tea, but then had an idea. He felt his face heat up as he grabbed a sharpie and started writing on the cup, hands shaking. "I screwed up so much while taking your order, I'm sorry. I'll make it up to you if I can, just… give me a call?" He couldn't even look at the customer as he passed the drink forward. His phone number was written in black sharpie on the side. Fuck, that was stupid of me. And completely inappropriate, you should've just let them leave in peace.

Cam smiled at the guy's flustered face, it was kind of cute. "Sure." He laughed, grabbing his tea and pastry. He walked back to his table and quickly put his number in the Cam's contacts under the name. 'Flustered Caffe Dude'

@SaltyLasagna

(time skip after this?)
Mika smiled. Okay, maybe that didn't go too bad after all, he thought to himself as he dealt with the next customer.
