Cameron leaned closer into her, but supported her weight. He matched her step, making the rythym they walked closer and supported.

(Coffee. Again. Lol.)
They were soon back at the apartment complex, and Lilah headed toward the elevator with Cameron at her side. She grinned and stepped inside, pressing the button for their floor.
Cameron hummed along with the elevator music as it took them up. It was a very nice elevator, Cameron noted, smiling.
Lilah squeezed Cameron's hand, looking up at him with a smile. She was glad things were better between them.
Cameron looked at her and smiled back. He squeezed her hand back.
"Thanks for the flower," Lilah said softly.
Cameron leaned into her. “You’re welcome.”
(I think I was flirted with today at work…)
Lilah reached up and pecked his cheek quickly, then rested her head on his shoulder with a small sigh.
(Oof what happened?)
Soon the elevator reached the topmost floor. He tugged her out of the elevator and into their apartment.
(Okay, so I work at Chipotle, you know? I was working the line, doing salsas, when this middle-aged-looking guy comes through. I'm getting him his salsas and such while he talks about liking Chipotle or burritos or something. Then he said something like, "You may not think the uniform is very attractive, but it's the sexiest thing I could see." To which I replied with a flustered, "Okay…" And a very warm face.)
"I'm going to go put this in the fridge," Lilah said when they walked into their apartment. She gave him a quick smile before starting toward the kitchen, humming softly under her breath.
(That’s really annoying. ~-~
Sorry you had to go through that.)
Cameron grinned back and milled over to the couch, flopping down. It was a nice leather one, and it hugged his body happily.
(It was so uncomfortable and awkward. Even my coworker noticed…)
Lilah set her food in the fridge, still smiling, then made her way over to Cameron. She adjusted the flower in her hair before carefully sitting down next to him and resting her chin on his shoulder.
"Hi, love," she said softly as she looked at him with a gentle smile.
(Ugh. I kinda went through the same thing a couple weeks back if you wanna hear it. It’s not as serious but, eh.)
Cameron looked up as she approached and smiled. He wrapped an arm around her and leaned into her.
“Hey there.” He kissed her cheek.
(I'll "listen" if you tell. I have a couple of friends who always get hit on, so I now understand what they've gone through.
Also, sorry, I was finishing my math lesson for today.)
Lilah was silent for a moment as she chewed on her lip in thought.
"I'm sorry about earlier," she finally said softly.
(That’s alright.
Okay so my friend and I were at my Aunt’s house. We’re obviously both 15, right? So my Aunt takes us to Walmart and drops us off at the front so she could park, and we find what we want. As we’re walking by, some 40ish, big shouldered, black man calls out, “Hey, come ‘ere girl!” And he beckoned towards us.
We didn’t do anything, we just kept walking, but that was like, why a fifteen year old…?)
Cameron sighed softly and relaxed. “That’s alright.”
(Oof, yeah. My friend was once invited to a party by a random stranger at a gas station. She was, like, 16…)
"Hm. You know I love you, right?" Lilah asked quietly, her gaze flicking over to him.
(That’s so feckin weird!!)
Cameron glanced at her. “Of course I do. Why wouldn’t I know that?”
(We live in the city. Lol. People are strange here.)
Lilah shrugged and looked down. She reached up and gently fingered the flower in her hair. "Just making sure."
(Makes sense. We live in a more rural area.)
Cameron hugged her tightly. “There’s no reason to make sure. I’ll always love you.”
Lilah let out a shuddering breath and hugged him back, burying her face in his neck.
"Good. I'm glad," she whispered, squeezing her eyes shut tight. "I'll always love you, too."
Cameron held her close and ducked his head near her neck. He rubbed her back, leaving the atmosphere in comfortable silence.
Lilah took a few calming breaths, feeling tears coming on. Her emotions were still running high from everything that had happened, so she wasn't surprised by almost crying, just a little tired of it.
Cameron squeezed her closer and shut his eyes. He had heard her staggered breathing, and wanted to silently help her through them.
After a few minutes, Lilah calmed down enough that she didn't feel like she was about to cry. She was still tired, though, which was probably from their long trip. With a sigh, she pulled away slightly and gave Cameron a small smile.
"I think I should go to bed. I'm overly exhausted from the drive here," she said quietly.
Cameron smiled a bit. “Okay. Do you wanna sleep alone for now? I can just sleep out here.” He himself was feeling rather tired.
"Unless you'd rather sleep alone, I'd prefer to be with you," Lilah answers with a small shrug.
Cameron smiled a bit more and sat up. “Alright. Let’s go, then.”
Lilah smiled back and stood up. She stretched a bit and covered her mouth as a yawn pushed past her lips, then turned to Cameron as she waited.
Cameron rose after her and took a few moments to stretch out his legs. He stopped when he noticed her staring.
“Let’s go!”
Lilah rolled her eyes with an amused huff and started toward the bedroom. She and Cameron hadn't actually seen most of the suite before deciding they'd liked it, so she was a little excited to see what the master bedroom would look like.
