Liará straightened her back as she waited. Her father on the other hand, paced back and forth while they waited.
“Father, stop pacing. You look more worried then I am.” She said, fixing her sash.
“I can’t help it, my child is getting married today.” He said, not stopping his pacing.
Liará rolled her eyes and sighed, shaking her head a little.
Her fathers back was turned when she saw him. She ran up to him and hugged his waist “father!” She said happily. “KALIYAH!” She winced “yes Brenda?” She asked innocently. Brenda let our and exasperated sigh “I question you child.” She said, shaking her head. Kaliyah felt her father laugh. “My little princess is all grown up today!” He said turning around. She smiled “yes father, but I really wish this wasn’t needed of us.” She sighed. “I don’t want to see my beloved daughter leaving me today either.” He smiled sadly “but it is needed for the betterment of our kingdoms.” She sighed and looped her arm through his “shall we?” She asked softly. He smiled sadly “yes, we shall.” And opens the doors to the hall she would be wedded in
As the doors opened and Liará looked back as Kaliyah entered, she was struck by her beauty first. She suddenly felt very self conscious about her own looks, the white dress standing out against her brown colours skin. Her father smiled a little and took up his pace by her. Liará couldn’t stop staring but eventually blinked a few times and returned her gaze to the front while her soon to be wife walked towards her.
Kaliyah took a step inside and froze, her wife-to-be was the most beautiful creature she had seen. “Wow.” She whispered. Her father smiled “come child, your bride awaits.” He said. She walked with him to where she was waiting. She took her place at the altar and smiled at Liará.
Liará smiled warmly back at Kaliyah. Her gaze quickly flicked up and down the other, taking in her beauty once more more the ceremony started. Her nervous felt like they grew with every passing moment, but so did her excitement.
(Do you want to skip the ceremony because idk how western weddings work 😬)
(Me neither lol, yeah, let’s just skip)
After the ceremony, Kaliyah stood at the front waiting for Liará to come. The horses whinnied and the food man waited to open the carriage door. A few other horses and riders were waiting behind the carriage with all the supplies for the too newly-weds
Liará hurried towards her wife, smiling warmly at her, “Hello there.” She greeted Kaliyah, tucking a strand of her short black hair out of her face.
Kaliyah smiled and bowed at the waist “may I help you up?” She asked, raising a hand. The foot man had opened the door and the other horses and guardsmen were standing behind, ready to get going.
Liará giggled a little and nodded, “Yes, thank-you.” She bowed her head in thanks and took her wife’s hand as she stepped up into the carriage.
Kaliyah smiled. She turned to the foot man and whispered something in his ear. Then she got into the carriage and waited.
Liará gave Kaliyah a questioning look at what she just did but smiled, “What did you just say to him? I mean you don’t have to tell me but I’m just curious.”
Kaliyah opened her mouth to tell her but the fooan returned “m’Lady, your request. Also your father sent you this letter.” He said giving her a letter with her fathers seal. He moved back and 2 platters of food and one kettle of sweet tea were delivered into the carriage. “Thank you sir.” She said. The footman bowed his head and closed the door of the carriage.
(I’m thinking the carriage is pretty large where they have a small table in the center and the seats are large enough to lay down on.)
(Yeah, okay)
Liará’s eyes widened and she looked from the food to Kaliyah to back to the food, “Was this what you asked for?”
(Me whenever I see food)
“I figured that since it’s such a long journey, some thing to eat would be very much preferred. There is a pillow and blanket under the table for each of us.” She smiles shyly. HUT and the carriage started moving just then
“I may never have met you before until today but I do think I’m in love with you. Food is honestly the one thing keeping me sane back home.” Liará jerked a little when the carriage started moving but didn’t care. She smiled at her wife.
Kaliyah laughed lightly “food is one thing we have in common! Our house will be equipped with the finest chefs and maids.” She said
"Good, otherwise I'd be very upset," Liará let out a content sigh and leaned back in the chair, "So, Kaliyah, tell me about yourself, please."
“What do you want to know?” She asked, picking a small cube of cheese and eating
"As much as you wish to tell me." Liará replied, shrugging a shoulder.
Kaliyah chewed on a grape while she thought. “Well my full name is Kaliyah Arkos, I enjoy archery and horse riding, I also enjoy playing the piano, writing, sewing. My mother doesn’t know this but I like to cook. I like studying the night sky, plants, and making herbal items.” She looked back at Lianá “I think that is all.”
Liará smiled at Kaliyah, “You sound like a very interesting person,” She said, “And I look forward to learning more about you.”
“And I, you. But now it is your turn, tell me more about you.” Kaliyah said, leaning into the plush cushions in the carriage
Liará shrugged a little, "Okay, I'm Liará Rurrow, I like reading, painting and writing. Swordsmanship is a hobby of mine, same with learning history and languages. Pretty boring in all honesty."
“What languages can you speak?” She asked
(Sorry!! School decided to drown me in assignments!!)
(Aha, I know the feeling. It's all good! ^^)
Liará sighed quietly, "Um… the common tongue, my native language and a few of the older languages."
“What is your native language?” Kaliyah asked sitting up
"Karraglia is the proper name for it, not that I ever use it." Liará shrugged a shoulder with a smile.
(I was thinking maybe later on, the get into an argument and one of them leaves to their kingdom only to find that both kingdoms are at war?)
Kaliyah smiled and looked out the window. She let out a gasp of delight “look! The house is up ahead!” She said, her eyes widening
