(Oh okay)
Celeste saw a girl waving at her and saying something. She took her headphones out. "Sorry, what?"
“Hi, I’m Sofia,” she introduced herself with a friendly smile.
"Oh. Hi," Celeste said, smiling and sitting up a little straighter. "Sorry, I had my headphones in. I'm Celeste."
“It’s cool,” Sofia said. “What were you listening to, if I might ask?”
Keri continued to read, and listened to snippets of conversation going on behind her.
Harley waited for the teacher
“It’s cool,” Sofia said. “What were you listening to, if I might ask?”
"Oh, yeah sure." Celeste showed her her phone to Sofia. The album cover was a picture of an ear, and the song was called 'Lock and Key'. "Not to be that person but you probably haven't heard of it," she said, taking her other headphone out.
"I actually haven't heard of it," Sofia replied, her mouth quirking. "What, like, genre is it?"
"Uh, it's kinda indie," she said. "It's just very weird, obscure music. It's actually taken me a while to perfect this playlist. What kinda stuff do you listen to?"
"Mostly alt-rock or classic rock," she said, intrigued. "So you like indie music then?"
"Yeah, and some alternative rock. My music taste has been called 'dad music' before," she said, using air quotes, "but I don't see it."
"Hmm, sounds cool," Sofia said. "I wonder if we like any of the same bands. Some of my music is kinda obscure, I guess." She chuckled.
"Do you listen to Cage the Elephant? I've been really into them lately," she said. This conversation was going better than she thought. Maybe not everyone here was terrible.
"Yeah," Sofia replied. "They're pretty cool. Have you heard of Bad Suns? They're this alt-rock band that I like."
"Oh, yeah I've heard of them," Celeste said. She moved so she was sitting on the desk, with her feet resting on the chair. "Do you ever listen to AC/DC? I like a few of their songs."
“Oh my gosh yes,” Sofia said. “AC/DC rocks.” She laughed at the bad pun. “Have you heard of Def Leppard?”
"I haven't, actually," she said. "Are they any good?"
“Yeah, they are,” she replied, a gleam in her eyes that she got whenever she talked about things she was really interested in. “You should check them out.”
(Should we pretend class happened?)
(sure)
Harley quickly rushed out of her class, her wings flapping to make her move faster. She went to her locker to grab the materials for her next class, wood shop.
Keri sighed and grabbed her books, marching out of the classroom and heading straight to her next class, History.
“Nice talking to you,” Sofia said to Celeste, packing up her stuff. “What class do you have next?” She was also somewhat directing this question to Ollie, since she considered Ollie her friend.

“Oh my gosh I do too!” She cheered. “Wanna walk there together?”
"Yeah, sure," Celeste said, smiling at Sofia's enthusiasm. "What songs do you recommend by Def Leppard?" she asked.
“Um…” she thought for a moment. “Pour some sugar on me, animal, and love bites. I’m so glad we like similar music by the way! Like, we can recommended each other stuff all the time!” She was still excited about the concept. “If you like, that is,” she added.
Celeste added the songs to her queue and turned her head to smile at Sofia. "Definitely. Are you on Spotify? You should follow me."
“Yeah, I am, and That’d be cool,” she agreed. “I just started listening to this new artist and I think you might like him. I added a ton of stuff to my main playlist yesterday too.” She smiled, hoping she wasn’t rambling. Music just got her excited.
