I'll start but keep in mind this would be how I picture the world. Anyone can correct me or chime in at explaining anything. That ok?

It's a modern city apparently.

(Here's my best) I was getting dark and the lights of the city started to flicker. They looked like the lights at carnival but hung from roof top to roof top. But don't let the lights fool you. At Night is when the real monsters come out. All most everyone here is in some way messed up. You can only hope that a monster won't find you and if they do hope they have pity or a need for you to be alive. Nykidia watched as the sun went down. It was time to play soon. I wonder who is out on the streets tonight.

Nykidia walked leisurely around the streets. She could see people getting off the streets. They were the smart ones. As she was walking down the allyway a shadow formed on the wall next to her. "Hey Ny." "Hey Night" "What are you going to do tonight?" "I was thinking of finding people who are out. Maybe find a few new 'friends'." "Sounds good to me!"
