oliver jumped, not expecting the voice. she turned and saw Sofia, a girl in her chemistry class. oliver smiled. "hey! i'm oliver, but you can call me ollie."

Keri was walking to school with her nose stuck in a book, she had her wings folded around her body for warmth since she didn't bring a jacket.

Harley folded her wings and sat on a tree making a list of people she hated

Celeste walked through the school doors, sipping hot tea from a mug. She dodged some freshman laughing at each other loudly, their wings fully extended, and got to her locker. She rolled her eyes and opened her locker.

“Nice to meet you,” Sofia replied with a smile. “It’s chilly this morning, huh?”

Keri folded her wings behind her and made her way into the school and went straight to her locker, wishing that she had skipped school today. she noticed a girl a few lockers down but didn't say anything.

Veronica entered the school, thermos in her hand, walking over to her locker. It was a chilly morning and her wings helped take the cold off just a bit. She took her books for her first period class, closed her locker, and looked around seeing if there any people she knew around.

Keri walked into English and decided to sit in the middle, she set her books down and pulled out the book she was reading again and reading.

"yes, it is," oliver shivered, as if on command. "i forgot my jacket this morning, so my wings will just have to do" soon enough they were at the school. she turned to sofia as they were walking through the doors. "say, what's your first-period class? maybe we could walk there together."

“It’s English,” she said. “What’s yours?” Walking there together sounded good to her.

“Yeah!” Sofia replied, smiling back at her. “Honestly, English is probably my least favorite class,” she added with a chuckle.

Veronica headed to her English class and noticed two people already in the class. She decided to sit near the left-back, the furthest chair from the door. She placed her books on her desk and lightly tapped her pencil on the table.

"oh! mine too!" she laughed along with the girl. oliver was looking forward to having sofia as a friend. she pushed the door to english class open, and let the other girl go in first, before following her into the room.

Sofia glanced around, unsure where to sit, before deciding on a desk next to another empty desk and smiling at Oliver.

oliver glanced at the girl seated at the next table over and recognized her immediately. "hey! you're the girl with the cool wings! they're a lovely shade of blue," she then blushed. you usually don't point out someone's wings the first time you meet them

“Thanks.” She smiled and took out her headphones. “I’m Harley, my friend calls me Lee or Harry, who are you?”

Celeste walked in her classroom. A few people were talking, a few people were sitting by themselves. She stood, unsure, then reminded herself she didn't want to look unsure. So she took a deep breath and walked straight to an empty desk. She put her headphones in and her feet on the desk and zoned out the world.

Harley looked up as the new kid came into class.

"i'm oliver, but you can call me ollie. and this girlie here is sofia," oliver playfully bumped her hip against sofia's. the door loudly shut, announcing the arrival of another student.

Sofia smiled and waved. “Hi,” she said. She glanced at the newcomer with a friendly smile and waved briefly at her too, wondering if she noticed.
