Cameron kissed her gently, smiling. “Good. Random is good.”
Cameron kissed her gently, smiling. “Good. Random is good.”
Lilah giggled again and kissed him back. "Yeah?"
“Yeah.” He smiled. “I wouldn’t want anything else.” The elevator doors opened and he grabbed her hands. “Come on, room touring time…” He tugged her out of thr elevator, into a neat little hallway with only two rooms. One was facing the lake, the other faced the city.
"Let's check out the one facing the lake first," Lilah said as she glanced at the rooms.
Cameron nodded and lead her over, unlocking the door with one of the two keys. The apartment was spacious, furnished and nice. A paper announced that it had two bedrooms and two bathrooms, and a kitchen with a patio. The complex was clearly habited by rich people and a rich owner. Cameron lead her inside with a faint, “Wow”.
(*led … x2)
"This is really nice," Lilah mused as she looked around at the room, unfazed by its grandeur. "I like the view."
(.p. Sorry I get that mixed up constantly.)
Cameron grinned and walked over to the large window overlooking the lake. It shimmered and danced in the sunlight.
“It is nice.”
(Lol. It's ok. Honestly, I just know that from my one semester of college English.)
Lilah, still attached to him by the hand, followed. "I like this one… What do you think?"
(Isn’t lead a noun and led is the verb? I was never sure, so I try and avoid it.)
Cameron nodded. He didn’t want to check out the other room, he just wanted to stay there and gaze idly at the lake.
“Yeah… this one’s good.”
(Lead is present tense and led is past tense. Lead is also a noun.)
"So… I suppose we should go ask if they're pet-friendly," Lilah suggested.
(Gotcha. That is so confusing, but that’s kinda what I thought. I was just using the wrong tense.)
Cameron woke himself up. “Good idea.” He looked at her expectantly.
(Lol. Yup.)
"What?" Lilah asked, tilting her head to the side in confusion.
“Aren’t we going to go?” Cameron tilted his head with her.
(If I don't respond quickly, I'm probably chatting with Natasha. Jsyk.)
"Oh. Well, yeah, but I didn't realize that you meant for me to lead the way," Lilah said with a shrug as she turned to the door.
(Okay. Tell her I said hi.)
Cameron giggled and kissed her gently. “Sorry, I should've made that clear.” He tailed her out of the room, humming happily.
(Sure!
…Would she know you by Emi…?)
Lilah coughed, choking back a giggle of her own. "It's okay, love."
(She’d prolly know me as M.)
Cameron grinned and pressed the hail button. “Do you think we’d he able to sfford the rent?”
(Okay. I'll let her know.)
"I hope so. If not, we could always get jobs," Lilah said, shrugging as she stepped into the elevator.
Cameron’s grin didn’t falter and he followed her in. “Having a job doesn’t sound so bad.”
"Have you ever had one besides babysitting?" Lilah wondered.
Cameron shook his head. “Nope, since that job paid pretty well, I didn’t need another.”
(Nat says hi.)
Lilah nodded slowly. "I don't think we'll need to get jobs, though, honestly. I'm sure it'll be fine."
Cameron nodded. “Yep, I think we’ll be fine too.” The elevator doors opened on the ground floor again.
Lilah happily linked her arm with Cameron as they made their way to the front desk again. She set the keys back on the counter.
"We decided on the lake room, but we were wondering if this building allows pets?" she asked politely.
The lady looked up. “Yes, we do, for the top rooms. Have you guys decided on that room?” She took the keys back from Cameron.
"We have. Could we talk about renting prices now? Or would you like us to come back?" Lilah wondered.
The lady hummed. “We can discuss it now. The rates are usually $3100 a month, including the furnishings.”
Lilah chewed on her lip as she thought about it. "Could we lower it to $2900 a month?"
The lady studied the pair for a few moments. “Sure. I want to pet your pets when they come through, though.” She smiled a little, showing dimples.
Lilah laughed a bit at that. "Of course. Thank you so much. When can we move in?"
