Cameron was dozing, with his face in a hand. He was leaning forward, yet he started into posture when she spoke. He sat his head up.
“We are?” He looked around excitedly for a sign of some sort.

"Yeah, see? You can see the lake in the distance," Lilah said as she pointed over the town to a shining surface.
Cameron followed her finger and grinned happily. “Let’s find somewhere to stay, then!”
"I wonder if they have apartments," Lilah said as she drove into the town. "…Wait… Are we living separate? Or together…?"
Cameron looked at her, his expression impassive. “Do you think we’re ready to live together?”
"I… don't know… Do you want to?" Lilah asked softly, glancing at him out of the corner of her eye.
Cameron sighed softly. “I think so. But I think it’s your decision.”
Lilah drove in silence for a bit, the only sounds coming from the car and their breathing as she thought it over.
"I agree," she said simply, spotting a nice-looking apartment building.
“Agree with what?” Cameron asked softly, looking at her with a curious and happy expression.
"I think we're ready. I'd like to live with you," Lilah said, her voice equally soft. She pulled into the parking lot of the complex and parked the car, turning to give Cameron a small, happy smile.
(Sorry, went to go get food.)
Cameron smiled back warmly and kissed her cheek gently. “I’m ready too. It’s goong to be great, living with you.”
"It is. I honestly can't believe this," Lilah giggled a bit. "I hope they have an available suite."
Cameron smiled happily. “Let’s go see! This looks like a pretty small town, so they probably do.”
Lilah grinned at him before swinging her door open and stepping out. She left the windows rolled down a bit so that the dogs could stay in the car, just in case the apartment didn't allow pets. If they didn't, they'd have to find a different apartment.
Cameron got out too, shouldering his duffle. It had a lot of important stuff that he couldn’t leave behind or forget about if someone stole them.
Lilah crossed to Cameron and held her hand out to him with a wide grin. "Shall we?"
Cameron took her hand with a beam. “We shall, Lilah. Lead the way.”
Lilah squeezed his hand excitedly as they walked up to the building and stepped through the doors. The inside of the building looked crisp and clean with white walls and dark wooden tables. The reception desk was the same dark wood, and a young lady sat behind it at a laptop.
Cameron looked around slowly, suveying the nice apartment complex. He followed Lilah to the reception desk, and the lady looked up.
“Welcome. How may I help you?”
"Hello! We're just wondering if you have any suites available? And if you do, if we would be able to tour them?" Lilah asked, giving the lady a polite smile.
The lady nodded and looked back down at her screen. “We have a few open on the top floor, since it’s a little more expensive up there. Would you like to tour them anyway?”
Lilah glanced over at Cameron. "Is that okay with you?"
Cameron looked at Lilah with a grin. “Of course it is. We’ll both have to chip in for rent though, but it’s fine.”
The lady nodded and handed them the keys. “Once you’ve decided if you'd like a room, come down here and I’ll discuss the rent with you two.”
"Thank you so much!" Lilah said with a grin as she took the keys. She turned back to Cameron and nodded toward the elevator. "Ready?"
Cameron nodded. “Ready as I’ll ever be.” He lead her to the elevator and pressed the hail button. The elevator took a few moments, then it opened to reveal a kind-looking elderly couple. They beamed and scootched out of their way, giving well wishes as they did so.
Kasey smiled and nodded at them before stepping inside. She turned to face the doors and Cameron, grinning at him. "Are you as excited as I am?"
Cameron was grinning too. “It’s really exciting. Oh, we should probably…” He pressed the bottommost button.
"That's a good idea," Lilah chuckled. She stepped closer to Cameron and wrapped her arms around him, looking up at him with a smile. "Hi."
Cameron smiled down at her, wrapping his arms around her as well. “Hey there.”
Lilah giggled to herself. "I'm sorry, that was super random of me."
