Pax’s staggered breath was rising up into the air. He was hugging himself but didn’t look remotely cold.
Pax’s staggered breath was rising up into the air. He was hugging himself but didn’t look remotely cold.
"Hey Pax." She walked over and stood next to him, watching her breath puff out in the cold air.
Pax turned a ear in her direction but didn’t look at her.
“Hi North.”
"Why are you out here..in the cold..by yourself?"
“I like the cold,” Pax answered simply and looked back out at the snowscape.
"M was up. Walking around and stuff."
Pax grunted softly. “Was he in pain?”
"Some I think. He likes to hide it well."
“It’s what he’s learned to do.” Pax was certainly in an omitting mood.
"Yeah..I'm sure he'll be fine…"
Pax sighed. “That’s what he thinks.”
"And what he wants us to think.." She shivered slightly.
Pax nodded. “Precisely.”
North sighed. "Is there anyone that can help him?" She asked quietly.
Pax shook his head. “His immortality was sapped with his magic. The only person who can help him is the God of Insanity. But he and M fell out years ago.”
"M not speaking to insanity? Wow, that's a surprise."
(Insanity is capitalized. It is what the God of Insanity preferrs to be called.)
Pax shrugged. “M doesn’t like how he thinks. His decisions.”
(INSANITY)
(got it)
(ha jk but I got it :)
"Huh..that's not very good. And there's no..reconciliation between the two?"
Pax shrugged. “M might not accept help from him very easily.”
"Too stubborn for that." She looked down at the ground.
“That and M doesn’t approve of his methods of healing and experimentation.”
"So he'd rather keep being in pain?"
Pax shrugged. “I guess so.”
North shook her head a little. "It's not good.."
Pax shook his head a bit too. “It is not.”
“What do we do?”
“Nothing. M doesn’t want us to intrude on his business.”
“But he’s not okay..”
Pax sighed. “He’d be less okay if he was upset.”
(well what are you doing)
