Cameron paused abruptly, almost loosing his balance. “Really. So you’d name a kid Tobias if it came down to it?”

"Yeah. Why not? It's a cute name," Lilah said with a smile.

(imagines Cameron and Lilah having a kid years later, and Lilah wanting to name him Tobias

Cameron is just exasperated)

“Rose is nice too. It’d be a nicer name than Tobias.” Cameron returned the smile half-heartedly.

(Lol.
Lilah: But I love that name!
Cameron: groans and face palms)

Lilah took a step closer to him, frowning slightly.

"Is there something specific that you don't like about Tobias?" she asked softly.

Lilah: I carried him around for eight months, so it’s Tobias.
Cameron: But- Tobias is a-
Lilah: shushes softly)

Cameron shifted uncomfortably. “Noooo… I just don’t like Tobias. It’s boring as a middle name.”

(Nine months, usually.
Lilah: I like it, and that's final.
Cameron: But–!
Lilah: You can pick the next one.
Cameron: mischievous grin
Lilah: As long as it's reasonable!
Cameron: grin somewhat deflates)

"How is it boring? John is boring. Matthew is boring. But Tobias is not boring," Lilah argued, putting her hands on his forearms.

(Dang.
Cameron: I think Rose is reasonable.
Lilah: sighs
Cameron: If we have a girl. We just happened to have a boy.

Lily barked and sniffed at her hands.
Cameron ignored his pup and sighed. “I guess you’re right. I don’t hear Tobias as often as those names…”

Lilah: Exactly. Which is why he'll be Tobias, after his daddy.)

Lilah lifted a hand from one of Cameron's arms and absently rubbed the puppy's head.

"Precisely. And Rose is incredibly common, no matter how pretty it is."

(I can’t waittttttt that’s like, twenty or thirty pages away, depending on how often we time skip, and I want it now.)

Cameron blinked. “I don’t hear Rose as a first name very often. I hear Toby and Tobias all the time.”

(Lol. Same, though.
In another RP, we literally skipped almost an entire year in order to get our OTP married. And we already have a very depressing scene for their first child planned out…)

"Really? I hear Rose as a first name pretty often, but not Tobias…" Lilah said, gently rubbing Cameron's arm as she spoke.

(I was reasy to be like, let’s feckin do it but I realized they’re 18 and 19 and heejd,d we’ll have to skip more than just a year. Plus we have the cute little lake scene to get to)

Cameron ducked his head close to hers with a gentle sigh. “There used to be a pair of twins in my town named Toby and Rose and they were so sweet. I used to go over and babysit them.”

(Lol. Yup.)

"Aw, that's cute. I didn't know you liked kids," Lilah said with a smile. Her gaze flicked over his face, going from his eyes to his nose to his lips and back up again.

Cameron smiled a little and glanced away. “I might. I find them very sweet if they’re raised well.”

"Yeah…" Lilah sighed. "Kids that don't listen well and have bad attitudes aren't fun."

Cameron nodded and leaned his head on hers. “But when they’re nice… it’s a lot of fun.”

"Mmhm," Lilah hummed her agreement, closing her eyes contentedly as she smiled. The hand rubbing Cameron's arm stopped as she just held onto him gently.

Cameron kissed her cheek gently and he rose away from her after a bit. “Let’s get back to the car and on the road.”
Lily barked when she heard car and starter wiggling excitedly.

(I love my cats. They're so goofy.)

Lilah chuckled at Lily and pulled back from Cameron. "All right. Am I driving this time?"

(I love cats.)

Cameron shook his head. “We can shift after dinner.” He turned and started to walk, holding her hand gently.

(They're the best. I don't understand the people who don't like them…)

"Okay. Should we eat out for dinner?" Lilah asked, tugging on Lilac's leash to get the sleeping dog to move.

(Maybe cus they’re allergic. Also Lilac is meeee)

Cameron nodded. “That sounds good. When do you think we’ll get to our destinaion?”

(Not all of them…)

"Um… A few days?" Lilah said with a shrug. "Maybe longer…"

(Maybe a bad experience?)

“Why didn’t we take a plane?” Cameron asked jokingly, tilting his head onto her shoulder.

(…But cats…)

"Honestly, I have no idea," Lilah chuckled, finally getting Lilac to move.

Cameron chuckled with her. “Maybe we could call up a jet? Maybe not… that’s kinda unwise…”

"Where would it even land, anyway?" Lilah questioned, shrugging. "I like spending time with you, anyway."

Cameron smiled and leaned his head off of her shoulder. “True. True. Let’s find a map and figure out where we’re going to stop.”

"The map's in the back of the car," Lilah said, squeezing his hand gently as they walked.

Cameron nodded and picked up the map, surveying it. “This place looks good.” He pointed to a small town off the coast of a lake.

(Sure. You start?)

Lilah and Cameron pulled into a small town called Lakeview a few days later. The dogs were sleeping in the back of the car, as usual, and Lilah would have been if she wasn't driving. Well… She should have been, but she would have been too excited to.

"I think we're here," she breathed with a smile, her eyes sparkling excitedly.
