Cameron chuckled and stroked the bridge of her nose with his thumb. “I know.”
Cameron chuckled and stroked the bridge of her nose with his thumb. “I know.”
Lilah sighed and shook her head, chuckling at him a bit. "I love you."
Cameron smiled dorkily. “I love you too.”
"Come lay by me," Lilah said, carefully scooting over a bit to give him more room.
Cameron laid down once there was enough room and grinned. “I’m now laying by you. Happy?”
Lilah hummed and kissed him on the cheek. "Yup. It's much better than just laying here all by myself, even if you were sitting by me. It's just nicer having you laying here."
Cameron laughed gently and kissed her cheek back. “That’s good to know. I bet it was awkward to have me looming over you, too.”
"Well, seeing as I couldn't look at you, yeah, it kinda was," Lilah admitted with a light chuckle.
Cameron smiled and lapsed into a comfortable silence. Soon his thoughts started to wander to marrige.
Lilah rested her chin on her arms again and let her eyes drift shut. She sighed happily, a smile holding onto her lips. It was nice to just sit with Cameron for a while, with nothing to distract them.
Cameron looked down at her, smiling. “Hey Lilah,” He suddenly felt himself ask.
Lilah blinked her eyes open and looked over at Cameron with that smile still on her face. "Yes, Cameron?"
Cameron gazed at her for a few moments. “Mmm… nevermind.” He grinned a bit. He was too much of a chicken to ask her opinion on his matter. He privately hoped she’d press him. For some reaon that helped him talk more.
Lilah gave him a weird look. "Um… Okay… You're sure you didn't want to say something?"
Cameron shrugged. “More or less.” He was itching to talk to her about it.
"So you did want to talk about something?" Lilah asked, somewhat confused.
Cameron nodded. “Yeah. But we can talk about it later. Though, we have been dating for a while.”
"All right, if you want to," Lilah said with a nod. She smiled before continuing softly, "And, yeah. We have been dating for a while. I'm really happy with you…"
Cameron smiled softly. “I’m really happy with you too. And that’s actually what I was thinking about. Maybe we could…”
"Could… what?" Lilah pressed gently, cocking her head to the side as she looked at him expectantly.
“Maybegetmarried?” Cameron asked quickly.
Lilah froze and blinked a couple of times. "What? I don't know if I heard you correctly…"
Cameron didn’t like the look on her face. “Um… maybe… get married?”
"Cameron… Of course!" Lilah gasped, grinning like crazy.
Cameron’s face split into a beam. “Really?”
"Yes, really! I'd love to marry you!" Lilah exclaimed, her eyes gleaming as she looked over at him.
Cameron cheered a little. “I don’t have rings right now, but we could go out and buy a couple.”
"No, no. I want you to surprise me with one," Lilah giggled.
Cameron laughed too. “I guess the surprise is kinda… ruined but I wanted your opinion.”
"You needed my opinion on proposing?" Lilah laughed lightly. "I have been with you for two years, and I've been waiting for you to propose for almost that entire time. I knew you would take your time, though, and I was okay with that."
