Cameron looked at her. “That water fountain is basically at my knees!” It was at his lower waist but still.
Cameron looked at her. “That water fountain is basically at my knees!” It was at his lower waist but still.
"Then use the tall one I freed for you," Lilah chuckled.
Cameron trotted over to the taller one and set the bowl down. He filled it up and grinned at her.
“Thanks, Lilah.”
Lilah chuckled and shook her head at him. "You're welcome, love."
Cameron pecked her cheek. “You’ve found a suitable pet name, apparently.”
"I like it. I'm guessing you do, too, then," Lilah said, smiling when he kissed her cheek.
“I prefer Cam, but that could just be a nickname.” He grinned.
"That's just your nickname. Unless you really would prefer that I call you that?" Lilah asked, tilting her head to the side.
Cameron smiled. “You can call me whatever you’d like, Lilah.”
"Then it'll just depend on what I feel like calling you," Lilah said with a smile.
Cameron laughed gently. “True that. True that.” He patted her head. “Let’s get to the dogs.”
Lilah scrunched up her nose when he patted her head and followed him outside. "Yeah, yeah. Then they can roam and we can eat!"
Cameron laughed warmly at her expression and lead her. “That sounds wonderful. Where should we eat?”
(Led, not lead, jsyk…)
"I thought we were going to have a picnic out here," Lilah said with a shrug.
(I’m tired. I mixed up except and accept earlier. I’m dying.)
Cameron nodded. “Makes sense. I suppose we shouldn’t have it on the side of the street.”
(Lol. It's, like, after 10 pm for you, right?)
"Yup. I'm sure there's even a table farther out," Lilah said with a smile as they reached the dogs.
(Yepppppp but it’s my last day of being 14 so i kinda wanna just stay up and suffer.)
Cameron untied Lily from her perch, humming. “There’s one over there.” He pointed to the next of the building.
(What??? It's your birthday tomorrow??? Well, happy birthday, if I'm not online!!!!!!!)
"Should I go get the food and meet you over there?" Lilah asked as she set the water down and untied Lilac.
(Yep! I’m turning 15, thank the heck)
Cameron nodded. “I’ll bring the dogs over. Be careful.”
(Lol. I think that's how old my cousin is?)
"Okay, thanks!" Lilah chirped, handing him Lilac's leash before starting toward the car.
(Awesome xD. I hated being 14. So much.)
Cameron pecked her cheek and led the dogs over to the table, where he let them go tenitively.
There aren’t a lot of people here anyway.
(What's so different about 15, though?)
Lilah smiled at the kiss as she walked over. When she reached the Jeep, she opened the back and grabbed a few sandwiches, some waters, and, thinking of Cameron, the pie.
(I have no idea. I just hated 14.)
Cameron sat down at the rickety wood table. He felt distinct shock that they haven’t replaced it with something newer, though he enjoyed the rustic look of it too.
(Huh. Well, just wait until 17… You're too old for some things, but not old enough for others. Like moving out.)
Lilah hummed the same song from earlier as she made her way to the table. With a smile, she set everything down in the center and petted Lilac before sitting beside Cameron.
(Ugh I hate age.)
Cameron smiled at her and kissed her gently. “Glad you made it. Let’s eat!”
(Lol. Same, tho.)
"Yes, let's," Lilah agreed with a light giggle. "Did you see what I grabbed?"
Cameron laughed and looked at the table. “The piiieeeeee!”
"I thought you might be excited about that," Lilah laughed with him. "Now, let's eat, yeah?"
Cameron beamed. “I love that pie. It looks amazing. I’m going to have some now.” He grabbed a knife.
"Nonono! Real food, first!" Lilah laughed, grabbing the pie and holding it away from him.
