Cameron let his head bob and he shook his head. "Good point." He yawned.
Cameron let his head bob and he shook his head. "Good point." He yawned.
"And you need to stay awake so that you can walk and carry Lily to the car," Lilah chuckled as she started toward the door.
Cameron hummed gently. “Righteo, righteo.” He followed her. If she were to stop suddenly, he’d probably bowl her over.
Lilac followed with no need for a leash; she just trotted beside her human, not caring where they were going so long as they were together. The princess had somewhat of the same mindset, though she was thinking of Cameron and not her dog.
After walking for a while, turning down enough hallways that anyone who hadn't grown up in the castle would get confused, they reached the map room. Lilah looked around for a moment before she spotted a map small enough to carry but with enough information that they could pick a destination and travel there fairly easily.
"All right. Let's figure out where we should go."
Cameron tailed her into the room, having been half-asleep for the most of the trip, though, he made sure he didn’t loose sight of Lilah or her dog.
“Where we should go?” Cameron repeated sleepily, tilting his head.
(I left for 9 minutes, and everyone came back… Woah…)
"Help me look, would you?" Lilah asked, shooting him a smile as she spread the map across the table.
(poofs hey thereeeee. How’s it going?)
Cameron smiled sleepily with a little nod and walked over. “Where were ypu thinking, Lilah?”
(Meh. I'm still sick, so I stayed home while my sister is off with friends and my mom and stepdad are on their weekly date… There's nothing interesting on Netflix that I can watch w/out my sister… You?)
"What about over here?" Lilah suggested, running her finger along the west coast.
(They're currently in the midwestern region, jsyk.)
(Okay. I’m alright, mildly irritated and drained mentally. How come you got tech back? Sneaking on it or somthing?)
Cameron gazed at the little map curiously. “Near beaches and stuff?” He loved the beach, he would admit that.
(…They didn't take it away yet…I'm hoping they've forgotten…)
Lilah shrugged. "I mean, yeah. You seemed to enjoy our time at the lake, and so did I, so…"
(Hope is good, my friend.)
Cameron nodded. “Yeah… I like water. A lot. Do you mind if we go down that way?”
(Yup… I'm not sure how long this'll last, though.)
"By the lake, or to the coast?" Lilah asked, turning to look at him.
Cameron shifted his grip on Lily, who had gone back to sleep and looked at Lilah.
“Whichever you prefer.” He smiled a little.
"Let's go to the coast," Lilah said with a smile. "But it'll be a long drive…"
Cameron gazed back down at the map. “That’s a good thing, right? We want to get away.”
"It is… I just hope I won't have to drive the whole way. You can drive, right?" Lilah asked, looking at him curiously.
Cameron grinned sleepily. “Of course I can. I just fall asleep at the wheel someimes. I can drive really early in the morning. Just not at night.”
"Remind me to make you drive, then, when it's five in the morning," Lilah said, only half joking.
Cameron yawned. “I will do that.” He smiled again.
Lilah carefully rolled the map up and tucked it under her arm with a smile. "Come on, let's get going. The sooner we leave, the sooner you can sleep."
Cameron smiled back. “Brilliant idea! What car are we going to take?” He hoped it was a comfortable one.
"The Jeep," Lilah said with a sheepish smile.
Cameron grinned. “Jeeps are nice. I like Jeeps. Jeep Jeep!” He giggled sleepily.
"Ooookaaay… You definitely need sleep," Lilah chuckled as they neared the front entrance.
“Jeep Jeep…” Cameron repeated sleepily, almost falling off the brink of unconsciousness as he followed her.
"Cameron, hun, stay awake for five more minutes, would you?" Lilah sighed as she led him out to the car.
Cameron shook his head, perking up again. “Right. Right. Awakefullness.”
"Yeah, awakefullness," Lilah chuckled as they reached the car.
Cameron gazed around the dark grounds. “Will anyone follow us?”
"I hope not," Lilah murmured, chewing on her bottom lip. She walked around to the driver's side and opened the back door, letting Lilac jump in.
