Cameron gave Kline a tired look. Can you just go away, dear sir?

"I'm sorry that you don't understand, Lilah," the king said softly. "But that's just the way it has to be. Think about it."
With those last words, he walked out of the room. Lilah turned to Cameron, biting her lower lip.
Cameron looked at her, feeling more awake. "What… what is he talking about, Lilah?"
Lilah shook her head slowly. "He said that I can't be queen… I assume he meant if, um, we get married…"
Cameron blinked. "You… you want to be Queen, right? I can't do that to you."
"But I don't want to be queen," Lilah whispered. "I'm a horrible queen."
Cameron gave her a gentle look. "You'd be a wonderful queen."
Lilah shook her head, though she gave Cameron a soft smile. "Thanks, but I'm not."
"You're a princess right now. How do you know how good of a queen you'd be?"
"I'm shy and have no skills for leading people," Lilah explained quietly. "That's not how a queen should be."
Cameron cupped her face in his hand, touching their foreheads together. "It's better than being known as the princess who ran off with the Metzler prince."
"I don't care what people think about us, though," Lilah whispered honestly.
Cameron leaned his face onto hers. "You really don't?" He whispered this back.
"No, I don't. I love you, Cameron Metzler, and there's nothing you can do about it," Lilah murmured with a smile.
Cameron smiled a little. "I love you too, Lilah." He grinned like a dork.
"Good. Now, back to cuddling? Or…" Lilah bit her lip as she thought for a moment, then continued softly, "Or maybe I could pack a bag…"
Cameron nodded. "Good idea, packing. Maybe we should just run away from all of this mess… to another little country and live our lives…"
"I like that idea. Let's do it," Lilah agreed with a nod.
Cameron perked up. "Really? You'd run away with me?"
"'Course I would," Lilah said softly, smiling at him. "I'd go anywhere with you."
Cameron smiled back, sitting up slowly. "So should we do it, then? Run away?"
"If you think we should, then, yeah! Let's do it," Lilah declared, sitting up as well.
Cameron smiled happily, gazing at her lovingly. "Right now? Should we pack food? Should we ask Liam for clothes?"
(I feel like they're kinda like this song: https://open.spotify.com/track/0uSD8jMHw33zdBadafWFuV?si=n-ix5TPYRbCvHQaje_E8SQ )
"Well, how about we pack food and clothes for me, and then we go get you some stuff from your place?" Lilah suggested.
(Awww)
Cameron nodded. "That's a good plan. We'd have to get a ride… Williams would do it."
"He would?" Lilah asked. "He didn't seem to like us together…"
Cameron shrugged. "Williams is a servant. I don't like saying this but he's not obligated to give his opinion."
(Whelp… Ttfn…)
"But are you sure he would do it? I mean, I could just get a car and drive us myself," Lilah said with a shrug.
(;o; byee…)
Cameron frowned. "Yeah, we could do that, too." He smiled at her.
(Snuck on my iPod for a few minutes…)
"Let's do it!" Lilah exclaimed, jumping off the bed to pack some of her things in a suitcase.
