Kylie inhaled sharply but kept all other signs of surprise away. After a moment of pure silence between the two, she nodded along.
"Okay. I…I won't tell them." Kylie held back more questions - questions that Hawkin had said he didn't want to answer.
Good god…how can he be happy, with that reminder on him?

Hawkin smiled weakly. He rubbed the back of his neck. He said quietly. "This is why I act like I do. This is why I do everything…"

“Well…then I have to say you’re doing really well.” Kylie smiled weakly.

Hawkin shrugged. "I guess I am. I don't know where life's going to take me, but I know I'll meet it head on. Now, I feel like I'm going to go swimming some more. You know I gotta keep in shape…" He took off his shirt again, and ran and dove into the water with hardly a splash.

He reveled in the coolness of the water. He loved it. He would go under, and hold his breath for as long as he could. He hoped that Kylie didn't think that he was weird for showing her his scars. He hoped that she actually understood why he left everything behind him. Why he wanted to see the world….

Kylie went after him, pondering. She now understood everything…and it was remarkable she had to admit.

Hawkin felt embarrassed. It felt like the scars would burn through his shirt, and it would show everyone what he had been treated like. He stayed in the water to cover his back, and to cover him. He felt at home in the water. He felt normal when he swam. He saw Kylie on the shore, and just exhaled, and sank to the bottom of the pool.

Kylie slid in the water as she saw Hawkin slipping under the water in an exhale. She swam underwater to the other end of the pool, watching him, concerned.

Rox yawns. "Wish I had popcorn, this is better than a movie." She mutters crossly.

"Debatable. I wouldn't see this in theaters." Luis responded quietly, fiddling with the compass around his neck.

"Meh, in the movies it's always obvious who gets with who. We all know those two are getting together."

Elysia sat down with her feet in the water watching the others. “Hey does anyone here have fire powers or somethin? I don’t know about the love birds but I would like to dry off,” she said smirking slightly. She was trying to get back to her old self.

Hawkin sat on the bottom of the pool, and he laid down. He thought to himself, "Why did I ever show her the scars? Why did I trust her? For all I know, she could kill me in my sleep…" His thoughts were slowed when a sparkle caught his attention.

Hawkin is attracted to shiny things, it has been confirmed//

Hawkin swam up to the surface for a breath of air, and dove once again. He looked at the star under the water. It was a faded white light. It had probably seen millions of years whiz by. He reached out to touch it but it moved. Hawkin swam to the next place where it was at. Then, when he was just about to touch it, it moved again. He narrowed his eyes, and swam to the next place, it moved yet again. Hawkin was getting frustrated. He went up for air again, and dove as quickly as he could.

Kylie had no idea how the star had gotten there or what it wanted, but she saw the game it was playing. She grinned, taking more control over it as it moved.

Hawkin followed the star everywhere it went. He was getting more and more frustrated. He finally stopped, and flipped upside down, and crossed his arms, and looked at Kylie. Who was smiling at his struggle.
