(Hello?)
(Hello?)
(Anyone?)
(I’m here)
(I need Midnight……)
Hawkin spun around on one knee. He grabbed Kylie's foot, and dragged her down to the ground in front of him. He panted, "I learned everything from my friend Cas. He's the best friend I've ever had. He's dead now though. We were both being stupid, and he tripped and fell out in front of a car. I couldn't stop his fall. So the car hit him head on. I still think it's my fault, but when I do the stuff he taught me, I know he's there. He's guiding my every movement. I know this because I've never missed a shot, or a kick since the day he passed. That's how I know. Now, my question to you is, who taught you?"
Hawkin awaited a response while he caught his breath.
Kylie fell backwards but quickly sat up. “Self-taught. Don’t have much of a history, really…until I got mugged in New Jersey. Then I taught myself from the internet.” She explained, glancing up at him.
(I know, was in the car for 4 hours. Sorry!!!)
(Ah. I understand!)
Hawkin nodded. "I guess that's when your skills come in handy…" Hawkin stood up and brushed himself off. He gently picked up Kylie by the shoulders. "So, what do you want to do now?"
(Kylie: you)
“Should we go get everyone else? They probably have stuff in that room too.” Kylie inclined her head.
Hawkin nodded. "Yeah. We should, want to lead the way with your crazy star again?"
“It’s not crazy.” She pushed his shoulder playfully and summons a bright star.
(Welp I missed a lot…. again. I think I’ll just opt out)
Hawkin playfully pushed her back. "Well, you may not think it's crazy, but I do. Now, let's go back." Hawkin gently put his arm around Kylie hoping that she wouldn't notice.
(How the heck do you not notice something like that? Lol)
Kylie noticed, but she didn’t protest as they walked through the damp tunnels, the light illuminating everything in the vicinity, including her barely noticeable smile.
Xander gently placed his hands under Rigel's chin, cupping his face slowly. He then looked in his eyes for a second before leaning in slightly. "Can I kiss you?" There was no going back as he said it, and he could definitely not take it back. If Rigel rejected him, Xander would be disappointed but not upset. I would suffer so much embarrassment. Xander told himself, trying hard to not let Rigel show that he was nervous.
Hawkin was flushing. Kylie didn't say anything, but she had to have noticed. Hawkin stuttered, "So- so what is your favorite thing to do?"
Kylie inclined her head. “Soccer. I used to play with the FC - a soccer club. But then again,” She set her head upright, “That’s out of the question now.” She turned to him, smiling. “What about you?”
Hawkin smiled and looked down at Kylie. "Well, I'm in the swim club at school, and I got a scholarship for that, but I do play baseball. I enjoy it. Now, I'm sure what I'll be able to do because of this new found power…"
Hawkin looked off in the distance. "Where do you see your life going with this power of your now?"
"I don't know. I might be able to go back to school, but…" Kylie shakes her head. "I don't think that's an option."
Rigel leaned in, barely more then silent as he breathed, “You didn’t need to ask,” Rigel met his lips softly, eyes fluttering closed as he forgot about reality. His ears popped, a strange change in pressure as he felt power course through him at the kiss.
"I don't know. I might be able to go back to school, but…" Kylie shakes her head. "I don't think that's an option."
Hawkin shrugged. "I don't think you will be able too. I know I probably won't go back. I mean life for me has changed. I can't go back…"
"Me neither. Both my parents are on a guilt trip in Greece…so I have no idea how I'll get back to them." She shrugs. "What do you think we'll do with this power thing?"
Hawkin used his free arm, to rub the back of his neck. "I don't know. I mean what are you really going to do with a guy who explodes, and a girl who rips holes in the universe?"
"I do not rip holes in the universe." Kylie raised an eyebrow at him, smiling.
Hawkin smirked. "Bet. When you got really mad at me the first time, you ripped holes in the sky, and stars from alternate dimensions fell through to ours. If that isn't ripping holes in the universe, then I don't know what is…" Hawkin playfully pushed Kylie, and looked at her.
"That's ripping holes in the sky, not the universe. Besides, how do you know they were from other dimensions?" She nudged him back.
Hawkin cocked his head sideways. "Meh, ripping holes in the sky, or in the universe, same thing to me. I don't know any different. Plus, the stars have to come from alternate dimensions because every star is a different galaxy." Hawkin playfully poked Kylie in the ribs.
"What? No, that's not how it works. There are billions of stars in each galaxy." She argued.
Hawkin rolled his eyes. "Whatever, I still think you got the stars from alternate dimensions…"
