"I was thinking we were going to head to the nearest town, our supplies are running low." Avery says, already prepared to do anything to make sure his Angel Boy was safe. He slings his bottomless bag over his shoulder, concentrating for a moment before saying. "Mines are disabled."
Sorry for ttaking so long///

(HHhhhhhhh I finally hosted my Relay For Life event and it was a nice success, however now I'm fucking sick so sorry if my responses kinda suck)
"O-okay," Atticus stumbled as a small smile touched his features. Secretly, he was glad the siren wasn't leaving him quite yet. "I should probably hide my wings under something, but what am I going to do about my halo horns?" He asked slowly as his hand led up to his head, pointing toward his cracked circle-horns.
"A cloak could do it. Its also close to Halloween so you could just pass as someone who wanted to dress up early." Avery brainstormed, flicking his fingers with every idea that came and left.
Poor Red, have some tea.//
(Thank you. lmao I've been drinking tea and honey water almost all day but eating is a bitch right now)
"That's good then. I hope you have a cloak in that bottomless bag of yours…" Atticus insinuated, not doubting for a second that Avery actually had a cloak in there somewhere. "Where's the nearest town anyway?"
"Fort Worth, and I do have a cloak in here somewhere. I hope you don't mind that its Navy, that's my favorite color." He says, pulling down his bag and rummaging through it. "Aha! Here it is, its going to be very, very oversized to your wings will fit."
"Navy is a lovely color," Atticus complimented as he shook his wings out before tucking them as close as he could to his back without hurting too much, preparing for the oversized navy cloak.
Avery handed Atticus a large cloak. "It should fit, my brother was an Angel and that fit his wings." He says, observing the Angel Boys antics.
"Thank you…" Atticus took the cloak gently and threw it around himself, securing the front and making sure the back covered everything. He noticed the use of 'was' in Avery's sentence but he didn't want to press the siren. He attempted to put the hood on, however his broken circle-horns stopped the cloth from completely covering his head. Ugh… I wish I could just get rid of them.
"Hmm, What to do for those?" He wondered as he walked around Atticus, he bit the edge of his cheek as he thought. He was glad that Atticus hadn't pressed him about Angel, the memory of his death was still fresh in Avery's mind.
"I would saw them off if I could, but I can't. Only holy or demonic items can affect them. It's part of the curse. They're rotting from the inside out; I have to go through terrible amounts pain before they fall off naturally." Atticus shifted slightly, his face going slightly red as Avery walked around him.
"I have a dagger I stole off a demon a while back… But its cursed with decay, I learned that the hard way." He gave a harsh laugh. "The dagger would cut them off but you would be stuck with your body in a constant state of 'About to die'" He said, using air quotation marks.
"Yeah, I don't think I wanna resort to that just yet… Is there an illusion spell you can use?" Atticus attempted a different solution, unsure if sirens even used spells. "Or maybe a really tall hat?"
"I could probably hunt down an illusion spell, i have a bunch of shit in my bag." He said, scratching the back of his head. His hands can be fully seen now, they seemed to be scared of some sort.
Atticus noticed the scars on the siren's hands and instinctively reached out to investigate. Only when his hand touched the other's did he panic and pull away. "S-sorry," he rushed out. "Um, yeah. Illusion spell." He attempted to switch the attention away from him.
"You- You are completely fine." Avery said, seeming to deflate when Atticus pulled away. He reached into his bag, searching for the big book o' spells that he stole off a wizard.
"If you don't mind me asking… how did you get those scars?" Atticus asked tentatively as Avery turned to look through his bag. He didn't want to push the issue, but he was concerned for his siren savior. He was unsure if he should reach forward and put his hand on Avery's shoulder or stay where he was, and was currently caught between the two; his arm extended halfway between him and Avery.
"The decay dagger." He said before pulling out the big book. "When I stole it off the demon I got cursed, well more then the dagger would have cursed me."
"I'm sorry…" Atticus hesitantly moved his arm forward and gently put his hand on Avery's shoulder, trying his best to comfort the siren without crossing any boundaries.
"There's nothing you can do about it," Avery says, tensing for a moment then relaxing somewhat into the touch. (Hahaahah touch starved child, I just love making my character miserable!)
(lmao why must you do this to Avery)
Atticus took a deep sigh before moving forward and gently wrapping his arms around Avery. "I'm sorry…" He breathed out softly, resting his head on Avery's shoulder.
Avery gives a small sigh and slips into the hug. This is going to bite me in the back later. He thinks. But he sure as hell is warm.
Atticus relaxed as Avery hugged him back and he let a small smile appear. "You alright…?" He asked Avery in a near whisper as he let his grip around the siren go to normal instead of super soft. There's not much else I can do for him… but I hope I can make him feel just a little bit better.
"I'm fine." He said a little sharper than he meant. "I'm sorry." He muttered, bracing himself for a hit, the only type of contact he was used to.
"No, it's fine. I deserved that," Atticus tried a light chuckle as he slowly pulled away from Avery, but would stop if Avery stopped him from leaving. "So um… the spell…"
"Yeah… The spell, here it is. A disguising spell, it won't work if I do it though." He says, handing Atticus the book. Goddamn it being a siren, I cant do shit!
"Thank you. I can do it, don't worry," Atticus replied, taking the book and flipping to the correct page. After reading the script, he began to say in an unusually dark, deep voice, "Unde falsum dant speciem fingunt." He waved his hand around his horns and slowly, his horns seemed to fade out from existence, only leaving his fluffy white hair behind and the hood of the cloak. "Did it work?" He asked, back to his normal, soft voice again.
Avery jumped and most definitely did not squeal, noooo. "It worked! Something from my bag was useful!" He ran up to Atticus at patted his head. "You can barely feel them!"
Atticus felt a blush cross his face when Avery patted his head. "I'm glad I was actually able to do that correctly," he grinned sheepishly and scratched the back of his own head with one hand anxiously. "Here's your book back," he closed the book and held it out to Avery. "I guess we can get going to the town now,"
