Cameron laughed. “Why can’t we? That sounds amazing.”
Cameron laughed. “Why can’t we? That sounds amazing.”
"Well… I suppose we could, but only until supper," Lilah declared.
Cameron huffed, then grinned. “Makes sense, actually. We need to eat that cake before the dogs find it.”
"Ooh! I forgot about that! Let's eat it now!" Lilah said as she flipped back to her feet.
Cameron spluttered as he got splashed and overwhelmed in the sudden wave of water that smacked over his somewhat dry hair. He emerged soaked, yet grinning.
“Yeah. Let’s eat!”
"Yay cake!" Lilah enthused as she made her way back to the shore.
Cameron followed her and plucked up the cake happily. “Yessssss!” He opened it. Even when it was slightly cold it smelled delicious.
"Mm… Strawberry shortcake…" Lilah have named as she sat down.
(Shif sow fast)
Cameron sat down too, pulling out extra plates and forks from the bag he brought. He cut a slice for her, set it on the plate and handed it to her.
“The rest is mine.” He beamed.
"What? Totally not fair!" Lilah exclaimed, laughing.
Cameron smacked his lips together. “Mine, coz you didn’t claim it.”
"But… The whole thing?" Lilah gave him puppy-dog-eyes that would rival Lily's.
Cameron looked up at her, and immediately his grin wavered. “We could… share it…” He soon compromised with a shrug.
Lilah immediately grinned. "Yay!"
Cameron grinned a little too. He cut himself a piece of the cake, set it on a plate and started eating.
Lilah hummed as she took a bite of the cake.
"I'so good," she mumbled around her mouthful of food.
Cameron already had a mouthful of the yummy cake. He nodded and mumbled something abstract.
(My wifi is so slow…)
Lilah smiled through her bite of food. She was totally glad she had agreed to getting the cake.
(Are you sure it’s not the site?)
Cameron swallowed his mouthful and beamed at her. “Enjoying yourself so far?”
(Maybe? But it worked better after I turn my wifi off and back on…)
"Mmhm," Lilah hummed, bet mouth still full of food. "You?"
(Huh. Maybe it is your WiFi)
Cameron nodded. “Absolutely. Can’t wait to get back into the lake.” He took anothr mouthful of cake.
(Idek…)
"No swimming for twenty minutes after eating," Lilah reminded him with a smile as she took another bite.
Cameron rolled his eyes. “That’s a myth.” He gave a gentle chuckle and stretched to nudge her.
"There's a reason behind the myth, though, I'm sure!" Lilah declared.
“It’s an old-wive’s tale!” Cameron laughed. “Your body doesn’t need the time to ingest food, especially twenty mintues!”
"Yeah, but I don't want you to drown," Lilah declared.
Cameron blinked, tilting his head. “How would I drown?”
Lilah shrugged. "I don't know…"
Cameron tilted his head to the other side again. “Alright. Imean I’ll stay on shore for a while, if you want me to.”
"Good," Lilah said, patting his cheek gently.
