Eve mentally rolled her eyes, “Fine fine, whatever you say.”
Eve mentally rolled her eyes, “Fine fine, whatever you say.”
"And I do say." He reached his hand up, tracing the clouds. "Clouds are made from a kind of moisture or something, right?" Riley sounded entirely clueless, and he was.
Eve nodded, “Yes, they are. They store water in them and that’s how we get rain,” She sat up, “Did you forget your year 3 science?”
"Uhh…. Maybe." He looked at her. "Is that bad?" Riley tried remembering his science classes, only remembering the one time the teacher accidently set himself on fire while trying to be a mad scientist and grow a tree in four seconds.
Eve giggled, "I'll give you a pass just this once fire boy." She let out a content sigh and smiled, swimming onto her back again.
"Yay." He stepped forward in the water, breathing in sharply as he misplaced his foot and went tumbling into the water. "Ack!"
Eve laughed but swam closer, "You okay? That was some fall."
"The water! Is cold!" He exclaimed, somewhat laughing. He face palmed himself.
"No shit Sherlock." Eve laughed and splashed Riley.
"Hey!" Riley laughed, splashing Eve in return.
Eve giggled, "What? I didn't do anything." She said innocently.
"Sure ya didn't." He retorted, now attempting to stand up which he finally did after a few moments.
Eve smiled up at Riley before floating onto her back, "When do you have to go?"
"Whenever I want." Riley replied, looking down at his wet clothes clinging to his body.
"You do know that when you swim you're not supposed to wear your clothes, right?" Eve teased.
"I don't care if they're wet, I can try them out rather easily." He smirked. "But I can guess you want to see me with my clothes off."
Eve blushed, "What? No, that's not it. I was just wondering if you knew since water isn't your thing."
"Haha, yeah I knew. I'm not entirely single minded." He ran a hand through his hair again, chuckling.
"I noticed." Eve muttered, letting out a sigh as she drifted further into the water.
"You're gonna get too far out for me to reach ya. I can't swim ya know." Riley watched her drift
"Why don't you try and learn then?" Eve raised an eyebrow as she sat up and looked at him.
"I don't want to drown." He stated. "That seems very likely."
"You're not going to drown if I'm here." Eve said, crossing her arms.
"Mm, I feel like I'll drown of my own stupidity anyway." Riley brought his hand to his chest. "Ouch, I just hurt my own feelings."
Eve rolled her eyes and laughed, "Fine fine, whatever you say."
"And I do say…" He trailed off. "I say you're rather cute still." Riley smirked.
"No, no I'm not." Eve protested, crossing her arms even though a pink tint rose to her cheeks.
"Yes, yes you are." His smile turned to a grin. "You're also a bit pink over there."
Eve looked down at the water, "No to both of those." She muttered.
"Awe, come on. Don't be like that." Riley moved forward, patting her head.
