Eira rolled her eyes, “Your pace is slow.”

Riley huffed. "Kay, fine, maybe it is." He sighed. "Hmph."

Eve laughed a little, “Don’t be a baby.” She slowed down her pace so she could walk next to him, bumping him with her hip once she did so.

Riley pretended to pout. "I'm not being a baby."

"That pout indicates otherwise." Eve smiled innocently up at him.

Looking down at her, Riley pursed his lips. "Or does it?"

"Yes, it does." She argued but still kept smiling.

"Nahh. But you smile like a princess." He gasped suddenly. "That's your new nickname! Princess~"

Eve rolled her eyes slightly, “Really? Princess is going to be my nickname?”

"Why not? I think Princess suits you~" Riley cooed.

"Of course you do…" Eve nudged him with her hip again.

"You keep hip bumping me, Princess." Riley looked down at her. "Why?"

Eve shrugged, “‘Cause it’s fun.” She replied, smiling.

"Ah." Riley closed his eyes, continuing to walk. Soon stumbling, he opened his eyes again. "I swear on my life," He started. "That didn't just happen."

Eve laughed, "Well, I didn't see it so it didn't happen fire boy." She playfully winked at him before speeding up her walk a little.

"Yes." He mentally fist pumped to himself. Riley kept her pace easily, seeming not to even notice the minor speed difference he took.

Eve hummed quietly as they neared the edge of the forest and the street. She sighed, not quiet wanting to leave the wilderness yet.

"You seem slightly upset? Or hesitant?" Riley noticed aloud, humming.

"Just don't wanna go… home." Eve replied with a sigh as they stepped onto the street.

"So why are you?" Riley questioned curiously. "Go somewhere else."

"I have to go home and there's nothing I can do to stop it. If I'm late then… never mind" Eve shook her head a little.

"Then?" Riley looked down at her curiously. "Strict family or somethin'?"

"Something like that, yeah." Eve shrugged a shoulder.

"I don't listen to my family." Riley shrugged. "If you wanna stay out later I'll take the blame so nothing happens to ya." He chuckled.

Eve shook her head, "No, Riley. I have to go home, no matter how much I don't want too."

"Why? Tell me what happens if you don't." The humor from Riley's chuckle faded away as he looked down at her ever so slightly from the corner of his eye.

"I… I can't. Don't worry about it, I'll be fine…" Eve didn't sound very sure but she didn't care.

"You don't sound so sure." Riley turned towards her more. "Tell me."

"No, I'll be fine." Eve forced herself to smile at Riley.

"Eve…" Riley crossed his arms. "I wasn't necessarily asking. Tell me whats making you..hesitate."
