Adrien let out a soft sigh of relief as he opened the door to his car. It was an old pickup that used to be blue but was more of a weird greyish color now. He yanked the door open and slammed it shut, turning to Mikhail. "You need to slam the doors if you want them to close. This car is kind of old."
Mikhail nodded and got into the car, slamming the door shut, glancing around the car. "At least it looks nice," He commented.
"Thanks." Adrie started the car and started the short drive to Ru's apartment. "So I guess we should get to know one another. Uh, how old are you?"
"I guess we should. I'm 18," Mikhail answered, glancing out the window and at the sky. "How old are you?" He asked.
"19," He replied fiddling with the radio until he found the classic rock station. Hotel California played softly in the background when he asked his next question. "What's your favorite show? I really like Firefly- Oh, uh, do you know what Firefly is?"
"No, not really," Mikhail answered, moving some hair out of his face. Usually he was on his laptop or he reading, drawing, stuff like that.
"Oh, it's really cool!" Adrien started, eyes lighting up. "It's kind of like a western, but in space. It follows this band of smugglers as they take jobs and do semi-illegal stuff and take in awesome people and stuff. You should totally check it out." He smiled fondly.
Mikhail smiled slightly when his eyes lit up. "Cool, I'll check it out when I have free time," He replied, smiling back warmly.
"You should, it's totally awesome." He concentrated on the road for a few minutes. They were almost halfway there. "You ask a question."
"Oh, okay then. Ummmmmm, what's your favorite color??????" Mikhail asked, he usually wasn't great at stuff at like this.
(getting ready for an early dinner, I'll be back by like 6:00)
(I'm back!)
"Hmmm, probably blue. Or silver. How about you?" Adrien asked as they rolled up to Ru's apartment. He pulled into the parking garage and left the car, slamming the door on his way out.
(Yayyyyyy)
Mikhail got out of the car and slammed the door shut. "Mine's either black or purple or any cool color." He answered.
Adrien laughed. "What makes a color 'cool'" he asked, putting finger quotes around the word cool. He led Mikhail into the lobby and then the elevator, pressing the button for the third floor and sending Ru a quick 'We're here' text.
"By cool colors, I meant, blue, green, purple, stuff like that. Red, orange, and yellow and warm colors and blue, green, and purple are cool colors," Mikhail explained, following Adrien to wherever he was going
"oooh. I thought you meant cool like these colors are ballers who get all the girls and these colors are total dweebs." Adrien explained, blush rising to his cheeks. Of course, he'd misunderstand something perfectly normal and ended up looking weird.
Mikhail chuckled. "It's fine, most people don't know what it means unless they do art or something like that," He replied, a small smile on his face.
Adrien wasn't really sure how to deal with this guy. He was totally nice and sweet and it was weird because this didn't seem like the 'oh you'll probably die in a month so I need to be nice to you' sweetness Adrien was used to. This seemed genuine. The elevator dinged and Adrien led Mikhail to Ru's apartment, knocking on the door. "Thanks for coming," He said before Ru flung the door open.
(Just btw Ru had electric blue hair and a bunch of black alchemical symbols tattooed around his throat)
(cool)
"Oh, you're wel-" Mikhail was cut off by the door being flung open and he glanced at the man that had opened the door. He kind of looks like Max…….but his hair is bleached. He thought.
"Hey, dude. Adrien." Ru nodded at both of them, frowning when Adrien stared at his neck for a little too long. Adrien wasn't a huge fan. Re welcomed them inside, practically shoving Adrien onto the couch and ushering Mikhail into one of his nicer armchairs. "So dudes, how's it hanging?"
(Aww, bye! Talk to you tomorrow.)
(I'm apparently back so yayyyyyy)
Mikhail glanced at Adrien with a worried look on his face, quickly standing up. "Um, is he okay?" He asked, signalling towards Adrien.
(YAY!!)
Ru tilted his head toward Adrien, considering his brother's condition. Finally, he yelled "Yo Addy, Are you ok?"
Adrien laughed. "Never!" He yelled back, curling up on the couch. Ru turned to Mikhail with a 'what can you do?' look on his face.
"Adrien's had a serious heart condition for…" He bit his lip, trying to remember when Adrien was first diagnosed. "11 years now. Our mother had the same thing. So did grandma. Apparently, it's genetic. They think I might develop early-onset heart disease too."
(lol)
Mikhail chuckled at Adrien's reply then glanced at Ru. "Why are you telling me this?" He asked, leaning against the wall as he moved some hair out of his face.
"Hmm," Ru tilted his head in confusion until he fully registered the question. "You'll be living with my brother, yes? It's pretty important information. You need to look out for him because he sure as hell won't do it himself."
Adrien looked up from the couch. "Stop bad mouthing me. I'm a big boy, I can take care of myself!"
Ru stuck his tongue out. "Sure you can looser! The wifi password is Fishbish69"
Adrien sighed dramatically and began typing the password into his phone, mumbling things that sounded suspiciously like 'dumbass punk' and 'Elowan was a bad influence' and 'shut up you ho'
(Sorry my replies have been taking so long :(
(It's fine)
Mikhail sighed. "Fine, go on," He muttered, glancing at Adrien every so often. He had been able to figure out that something was wrong with Adrien's heart but he didn't know why so he was glad Ru was telling him this stuff.
Ru smiled sunnily. "Cool. As I was saying, he has heart disease. It's really bad. His heart shuts down about once or twice a month, but he won't tell you when he feels it happening because he doesn't want to freak people out," Ru took a deep breath, soothing his annoyance with his brother. "After a while, he'll stop talking or moving. That's when you need to get him his pills- he keeps them in the bathroom- and drive him to the hospital."
"I already know about the pills in the bathroom," Mikhail muttered, moving some hair out of his face.
