Liam showered and took his time, letting the water rush over him. He sighed and put some clothes on, as well as a jumper even though his skin felt hot he felt cold. He sighed and fed his cat before realising it had been just over an hour and he headed to Kasey's, knocking on the door quietly.
Kasey was still asleep, so she didn't hear Liam at the door. Harper, on the other hand, was wide awake. He walked over from the kitchen, where he was looking around and making a grocery list, and opened the door.
"I'm assuming you are here for my sister?" he asked Liam, letting him inside.
Liam nodded and ran a hand through his hair, stepping into the apartment, "Yeah, I said I'd be over an hour ago and I take it Kasey is still fast asleep?"
Harper nodded. "Yeah, she is."
He looked Liam over and frowned a bit. "You okay? You don't look too good."
Liam sighed, "It's just a cold of some kind, I've taken some tablets for it but I told Kasey I'd come over so, here I am."
"Hm. All right. Just don't get her sick, okay? She's got enough on her plate," Harper said as he stepped out of Liam's way.
"I told her that, but she said I could still come over and you could be our slave for the day," He held his hands up, "Her words not mine."
Harper sighed and shook his head, though he was smiling.
"Of course she said that. It happens whenever I visit her and she gets injured. I automatically become her personal slave," he chuckled. "Yeah, if you guys want anything, Kasey'll let me know."
"Alright, thanks Harper, I'm sure Kasey will bug you if you don't do as she says anyway." Liam replied, smiling.
"Yeah, I'm sure she will," Harper chuckled. He waved Liam toward Kasey's bedroom. "Now go make her happy."
"Yes Sir." Liam laughed a little as he walked towards Kasey's room, knocking on the door quietly before opening it.
Kasey stirred and blinked her eyes open. She peered in Liam's direction through eyes bleary with sleep. Quake saw the newcomer and jumped off of her chest, moving to wrap herself around Liam's legs.
"You're here… Hi," Kasey said with a smile.
"Hiya, how's your leg?" Liam asked before coughing into his elbow and picking Quake up in his arms afterwards.
Kasey shrugged and gave Liam a wry smile.
"It's seen better days," she said, masking the amount of pain she was really in. She patted the space next to her. "Come sit by me."
Liam nodded and did as told, sitting next to Kasey, still holding Quake in his arms. He sighed and let the cat go to do as she pleased.
Quake purred and laid between them, kneading Liam's leg with her paws.
Kasey smiled as she watched the kitten, leaning her head on Liam's shoulder. She wasn't too worried about getting sick. It was rare for her to get sick, actually. She had wondered for a while if it was because she was a super, since it seemed to be the same way for Harper.
Liam yawned then coughed again, "Sorry if I get you sick by the way." Liam said, his voice slightly raspy, "Do supers even get sick?"
"I mean… Sometimes? But never colds or anything. It's really strange, actually. I think I've become more immune as I've gotten older," Kasey said with a shrug.
"Good otherwise I would have infected you already if you weren't a super." He coughed again and had to pull away as to not cough on Kasey.
Kasey leaned back and turned the upper half of her body, now facing Liam.
"Do you want anything? Cough syrup, cough drops, soup?" she asked as she watched him.
Liam shook his head, "I'll be fine." He said once he's finished coughing, leaning back in the bed.
"If you're sure… Anyway, how's work and music going?" Kasey asked, giving him a smile.
"Work's been fine. Boring but fine. Music… I've written a few more songs and posted some of the finished ones on Youtube," He shrugged, "I haven't checked it since yesterday."
Kasey grinned. "You should check it now!" she exclaimed. "We could both see that stats, then."
"I highly doubt anyone's seen it but sure, why not," Liam took out his phone and opened the app he needed.
Kasey looked over his shoulder as she waited for the statistics to show.
"I'm sure at least a few people have seen them."
Liam shrugged a shoulder and the stats loaded. Turns out, there was a fair amount of people who saw the videos.
"No way… it's a glitch, surely. There's no way that many people saw the videos."
"See? You're a hit!" Kasey laughed when she saw the numbers.
Liam frowned as he refreshed the page and the numbers kept going up and up, "I don't believe it, a glitch in the system."
Kasey nudged him gently, Quake meowing incredulously as she was accidentally squished.
"You're popular!"
