"I'm ready whenever you are." Eve thanked the waiter before following Kai out.

Kai walked slowly next to Eve, their hands occasionally brushing.

Eve smiled at her feet when she felt Kai's hand brush her's. They walked slowly around the park, just enjoying each other's company.

Kai took her hand the next time they brushed and blushed a little.

Eve felt Kai grab her hand and she gripped his hand a little tighter. She grinned up at him before looking back in front of them at where they were walking.

Kai smiled back down at her and glanced behind them, spotting…Cara? With another guy?" He let go of Eve's hand and stared at Cara, his eyes wide. She got over me that fast?

"What's wrong?" Eve asked, noticing Kai's sudden distance from her.

"I-It's nothing." He stuck his hands in his pockets and walked faster down the path.

"Wait." Eve called, reaching out for him to tap his shoulder or get his attention or something to make him slow down just a little. He was walking too fast and she couldn't keep up. "Kai, hold on, I can't keep up!"

"I'm sorry I have to go." He walked faster towards the dorms, leaving Eve behind.

"Oh." Eve stopped walking, letting him get farther ahead of her. "Oh, okay. I'm sorry." She mumbled and began to walk slowly to her dorm with her hands in her pockets.

Kai glanced back at her, looking guilty. “I-I’m Sorry..I just didn’t realize she would get over me so fast..”

"No, it's fine. I understand. I'll see you later." Eve quickly walked past Kai, feeling embarrassed.

"Eve…" He reached out for her.

(ooooo, drama XD)
"No, please don't." Eve gently pulled her arm away from him, looking extremely sad. "I'm not going to be anybody's rebound."

(oOOOHOHOOOOOOO sALTY)
Kai reached out desperately. "Please no Eve. You aren't my rebound…" He trailed off, watching her walk away.

(right though? XD)
"Then what am I?" She practically yelled, turning around to face him. "Because you're obviously not over her. I know you just broke up, that's why we shouldn't have tried to start anything yet. But you also shouldn't have lead me on."

(MMMHhMHMMMMMHMhmhm He's gettin bEAT)
"I..I'm sorry Eve, i'm really sorry..I-I don't know what I was doing.." He stammered. "I'll just go.." He turned, walking away from her quickly.

(I'm enjoying this but I'm not XD)
Eve turned back around and continued walking back to her dorm. What are you doing?! You like him! Don't let him leave like this!

Kai stopped walking and glanced back at Eve. Nice job dumb ass. Now you have no one.

(Ahhh! This is frustrating me but I don't want it to stop because I love the drama XD)
Eve forced herself to continue walking, not wanting to turn around like in one of those cliche movies. Stop! Turn around! Apologize! Don't do this to yourself or him!

Kai opened his mouth to say something but decided against it. She hate's you now, nothing you can do.

Eve finally stopped and turned around, hoping she didn't look too upset. Go to him! Don't just stop! But she couldn't make her feet move anymore.

Kai saw her turn. He took a couple steps toward her until they were only a foot apart.

Eve was breathing heavily due to how upset she was at herself for getting mad at Kai. "I'm so sorry." She whispered, her breathing still uneven.

“No. I should be apologizing. I was being a jerk, I’m sorry Eve..” He slipped his hand around her waist, pulling her a little closer.

Eve covered her face with her hands when Kai pulled her closed in embarrassment. "No, no, it's okay. I shouldn't have gotten mad at you. I'm really sorry."

“No, Eve I promise. This is completely my fault. If it makes you feel any better I accept your apology but you don’t have to feel bad.” He hugged her tightly.

Eve moved her hands away from her face and put her arms around his torso, resting her head on his chest. She mumbled another sorry, not sure if Kai could even hear her.

Kai held her close for a minute, stroking her hair softly. "It's okay.."
