Liam woke up a little whiles later and headed to shower, only to pull on the same pants he was wearing before. He headed out to grab a drink of water and gulped it down. Once down he sat down to watch some TV.
Kasey finished her five-hour shift and grabbed something for lunch. She ate on her way to her car, making sure that she got to her 12:30 class on time.
Liam spent most of the morning and afternoon sleeping and watching a show on netfilx called Voltron. Despite actually liking the show, he kept dozing off but forced himself to stay awake through most of the episodes he watched.
Kasey arrived at the college and started toward her first class. When she walked in, nearly everyone looked exhausted, even though it was already the middle of the day. She smiled a bit and shrugged to herself as she took a seat.
(Everyone's exausted… just like Liam… and me)
Liam yawned and pulled out his phone just to scroll through social media. Nothing interesting so he shrugged and put his phone away, flicking the TV from Voltron to Death In Paradise.
(Lol. If you need to go to sleep, go ahead. I have to start school soon, anyway.)
Once that class was over, Kasey made her way to the next class. She had to get there quickly, practically running to the room. The class stared only five minutes after her last class, and she always wondered why she'd taken that option rather than the one an hour later.
(I'll be going in a min but I can stay for a lil longer)
Liam sighed and spread himself out on the couch, sketching a girl that resembled Kasey in his notebook as his gaze flicked from the TV to the paper to back to the TV. He sighed and continued drawing.
(All right, cool. If I disappear it's because I went to start school.)
Finally, about an hour and a half later, Kasey was done with her classes for the day. She sighed and started toward her car, thoroughly exhausted from her long day.
A few minutes later, she arrived at her apartment and dropped her stuff next to the door. She made her way to the kitchen to grab a snack, then fed Quake and went to her room, where she took a short nap.
(okay)
Liam hummed to himself, his leg swinging back and forth as he drew and tried to solve the murder cases on the show with no luck every time. Except one but that was pure luck then skill.
(Remind me not to hire Liam for a detective case. Lol. :P
They still haven't technically had their first date… Huh.)
After waking up about an hour later, Kasey went back to the kitchen for more food. While the topic was on her mind, she realized that Liam still hadn't taken her on an official date. She wondered about it as she sat down to eat a bowl of cereal.
(Yeah… hm….)
Liam sighed a gave up a couple hours later and a thought occurred to him. Date… I could take Kasey for a date. After everything that had happened he completely forgot about it. Picking up his phone, he called Kasey.
Kasey dropped her bowl in the sink with a loud clatter as her phone went off, causing her heart rate to rise at least twenty bpm. She picked it up from the counter and smiled when she saw Liam's name on the caller ID.
"Hey! I was just thinking about you," she greeted him.
"Nothing bad I hope," Liam laughed a little, "Anyway, so I uh… I was wondering if you… if you wanted to go on a proper date with me?"
"Oh, yeah! Of course! When?" Kasey asked, grinning.
"How about tomorrow night at 7?" Liam bit his lip.
"That sounds perfect. Will you make the long trek across the hall to get me?" Kasey joked.
"Of course I will, what kind of a gentlemen wouldn't?" He said, laughing.
"Great, so I'll see you then? Or sooner," Kasey added with a shrug, though she knew he couldn't see her.
"Whatever you want to do hun." Liam replied, leaning back onto the couch,
"Well…" Kasey trailed off with a sigh, sitting back in her seat at the table. Quake jumped into her lap, so Kasey started petting her absently. "I mean, I won't be upset if you want to come over, but I should really study. You could help me, though."
"If you need some time without me around to study that's fine by me. I don't want you to feel I'm pressuring you to let me come over. You study, I'll see you tomorrow for our date, yeah?" Liam smiled gently.
Kasey breathed a sigh. "Yeah, see you then. I can't wait," she said, standing to gather her things for studying.
"Love you." Liam said before hanging up the phone, turning his focus back onto the TV show.
"Love you, too," Kasey murmured, though the line had already gone dead. She groaned and started her studying.
Liam sighed and picked up the note book again before falling asleep soon after, the book resting on his chest.
A couple of hours later, Kasey dragged herself from the chair, accidentally dislodging Quake from her lap, where she had fallen asleep. Heading to the kitchen, Kasey decided that she should probably eat some real food and made herself spaghetti for dinner. Almost as soon as she had sat back down to eat, the kitten jumped into her lap. Kasey laughed a bit before eating.
Liam woke up to his phone ringing a few hours later. He picked it up and found the doctor's had to move his appointment forward to tomorrow morning. Reluctantly, he accepted and hung up the phone, sighing.
Once she had finished eating, Kasey gently pushed the kitten off her lap and set her dishes in the dishwasher. The door opening and closing alerted her to her brother's presence, and she turned to face him with a smile as he joined her in the kitchen.
"Hey, Harper. Where've you been?" she wondered.
Harper shrugged tiredly. "Out. Looking for a job…" he sighed.
"Really? Why?" Kasey asked, giving him an odd look. Why would he need a job if he already had one? And why was he looking around here?
Liam rubbed at his face and sat up on the couch, thinking through the last few days. It will be nice to take Kasey out, he'd been meaning to do so since they got together but with Matt he hadn't had time. He was also looking forward to leaving his apartment but the date excited him more.
"Oh, huh, didn't I tell you?" Harper asked, rubbing the back of his neck awkwardly. He gave her a sheepish smile chuckled a bit. "I'm moving in next door to you. The apartment is open, and there's really not much left for me back in Wolfsbane City. Not since the other supers moved there, anyway."
"Wait… What? You're moving in here? Other supers? What?" Kasey asked, incredibly confused.
"Oh… I forgot to tell you about them, too… Huh, I could have sworn I did…" Harper trailed off, trying to remember. "Okay, well anyway, a team of three new supers moved into town, and they've been taking care of all the crime. The Mask has basically disappeared anyway, so I'm moving here, to help you."
Kasey stood and stared at her brother in stunned silence for a moment before she grinned. "Harper, that's great! It'll be so great to have a partner so I don't have to do everything myself."
