Kasey leaned forward so their lips brushed for a moment, then pulled away with a smile. While her troubles certainly weren't forgotten, they were shoved to the back of her mind, where she would eventually find them again.

Liam placed a quick, soft kiss to her lips, pulling away after a moment and careful to control himself this time. He returned her smile and placed a hand on her cheek.

"You're so beautiful…"

Kadey clicked her tongue and shook her head.

"I like you better. I don't have to pretend to be normal around you or pretend that I'm obsessed with myself," she said with a smile.

"Ugh… I want to spend the night, but I think I should go home. I need to feed Quake so she doesn't get hungry, and I kinda want to be home when Harper gets back from his date," Kasey finished with a smile.

Kasey sighed as she stepped across the hall and entered her own apartment. Harper was still gone, so she decided to just feed her pet and head off to bed.

(Speaking of bed, I'm practically falling asleep here, so I'm going to go to sleep now. Lol.)

@ElderGod-Carrots

(Aha, all good. Seeya!)

Liam sighed and ran his hand through his hair, heading to his computer to check his emails and work on a couple songs before he went to sleep. About an hour or so later, he stumbled to his room and fell asleep.

Kasey shot up in her bed, breathing heavily and eyes wide. She shook a bit, though whether that was from the sudden cold of no longer being under her blankets or from her nightmare, she couldn't tell.

The voice had plagued her even in her sleep, speaking in its breathy way directly into her ear. She shuddered at the memory.

With a glance at her clock, she saw that she would have to get up in fifteen minutes, anyway. She decided to just get up and start to get ready.

Liam had been completely wiped out the entire night, being mentally and physically exhausted to do anything but sleep. It wasn't until Mortem kept meowing and pushing for him to feed him, did he reluctantly groan and get up.

Wearing nothing but his sweatpants, he ran a hand though his mess of hair and fed his cat, nearly falling sleep standing there. Once that was done, he collapsed on the couch and back asleep there.

Kasey dressed in her work clothes and made sure she had everything she would need to go to school later. Once she was fully dressed and ready to go, she fed Quake and petted her for a while.

Harper must have gone to sleep in the guest room because he wasn't on the couch. His stuff was piled by the door, though, indicating that he was home. Kasey looked at it with an amused smile, wondering when he had gotten in.

Liam woke up restless an hour later and finally decided it best to take some pain killers. Even though he didn't want to, he did, reluctantly. While he was up he booked himself a hair dressers appointment as well as a doctors appointment.

He yawned and walked over to his computer to work, even if it was the last thing he wanted to do.

With a sigh, Kasey realized that she should probably start heading to work. If she was late again, she was sure her manager wouldn't be too happy about it. She left Harper a note on the fridge reminding him where she'd gone, then started toward her car.

(Did I ever say where she works?)

@ElderGod-Carrots

(Uh… maybe…? Not that I can remember)

Liam got about half a report written and half a song edited before he, once more passed out at the desk, his music playing softly out of the speakers as he slept. He handn't a single clue on why he was so tired, maybe it was because of the lack of sleep the last few nights or his body recovering, he didn't know.

(…me neither…)

Unaware of her boyfriend's sleeping problem, Kasey headed to work at a little cafe on the corner of the street. It was just down the block from the apartment building, so she walked there rather than drove.

Once there, she clocked in, threw an apron on, and started helping customers. Her manager seemed relieved that she was actually there, not only on time, but early.

Kasey didn't like being late for work, but most days she didn't have a choice. Crime didn't care about her schedule, after all.
