(Technically, I got here when you posted that. Lol. I just had to respond to the other one.)

Lilah sighed as she petted Lilac's head, turning to face forward. She rested her chin in her hand, decided that wasn't a comfortable position, and leaned her head against the window.

Cameron resurfaced from the lake, gasping for air. His long brown hair hung down as it dripped out murky, muddy water. Cameron grinned and dove back down into the lake, in full sweater and jeans. It was rather uncomfortable but he’d be fine; there were no worries for him.

A few minutes later, Lilah arrived back at the castle. As she walked up the step to the white building, she wondered when Cameron would get back.

"Lilah? Is that you?" a distinctly feminine voice called from a hall to her left as she walked in the doors.

"Yes, mother, it's me," she called back, heading in the direction of the voice.

After swimming around for a bit, he clambered out of the lake, catching his breath. The sun beating down on his back was pleasant on his cold, wet back. He trudged up the path and looked this way and that, before starting to walk.

(When you accidentally delete everything you just wrote… I hate myself.)

"Where have you been?" the queen asked with a smile.

Lilah shrugged. "Out at the lake. Did Daddy tell you about my meeting with the princes?"

"Yes, he did. It sounded like it went well. He said he thought you found someone you like," Scarlet Lasota mentioned with a grin.

"I did," Lilah laughed lightly. "He's very sweet. And pretty nice to look at, too."

The queen laughed at her daughter's description. "It sounds as if you do like him. Where is he from?"

(…Did you ever mention the kingdom Cameron was from?)

(Yep. It’s called the Metzler Court but we can just go with Eeiridiay. I was planning on using that name, soon. Also, oof.)

Cameron walked down the road, squinting to try and get a look at Lilah’s home. He didn’t see it just yet, so he put on a burst of speed.

(Cool beans. And, yeah. It sucked.)

"Eeiridiay, I think is the name of the kingdom. I'm pretty sure that's how to pronounce it anyway," Lilah said with a laugh.

"What's his name?" Scarlet asked.

"Cameron Metzler."

(Oofffffff also I just imagined her mother being like, “wHo wHat nOw?” For like, a totally unrelated problem, for instance, how much land/money they have instead of their reputation xD)

Cameron shook his head out, scattering droplets out of his drying hair. Yes, it was so hot, the thick sweater, jeans and even his hair was drying out. If Cameron hadn’t jumped into the lake before, he’d be miserable in this heat.

(Oh, gosh. Lol. I was thinking about her being concerned, but… Idk.)

Queen Lasota blinked a few times at the name. "Metzler? You're dating a Metzler?"

"Yeah… Why does it matter?" Lilah asked, suddenly feeling defensive.

"Oh, it doesn't, I guess. It's just… He's a Metzler, Lilah," the queen repeated. "Do you know the history of their family?"

"Mother, I don't care about his family's history. I care about him, now," the princess declared, crossing her arms over her chest.

(awwwww okayyy)

Cameron looked up next to find the castle was quite close. He grinned and jogged up to it, his clothes almost totally dry. Cameron felt distinctly proud of himself for being able to skim off a shower as he pushed open the main doors with a grin to a guard.

Lilah heard the doors open and looked behind her. Cameron had just walked in, so she gave her mother a goodbye and walked over to him. She was still bristling from her conversation with her mother when she greeted him.

Cameron smiled cutely at her as she approached. “Hey Lilah! It’s really hot outside, it evaporated all the water on my- hey, are you okay?” He met her gaze and identified the anger in her eyes.

Cameron’s grin remained for a few moments until he understood what she meant.
“O-oh. Right.” He gave a slight sigh.

“It’s because of my family history, Lilah. The Metzlers are bad people,” Cameron dully explained, hating the words on his tongue.

Deleted user

“I understand that,” Cameron said softly, “but others don’t.”

Deleted user

“Because reputations bleed through families. It’s just a disgusting way that human-kind works, Lilah.”

Cameron took her hands gently. “They don’t matter. They shouldn’t have to matter to us.”

Cameron’s stomach gaave an uncomfortable lurch. “You think they… won’t approve of us?” He let go of her hands.

@Imperfect_Autumn group

"I don't know," Lilah said with a heavy sigh. Her hands already felt cold from the lack of warmth from Cameron's, and she frowned slightly.

(There's some serious Romeo and Juliet stuff going on here. Lol. No deaths, please and thank you!)

(diappointed groan fiiine. Puts away the poison)

Cameron curled his hands together, they’d grown cold. “What…what should we do?”

Deleted user

Cameron looked up at her slowly. “If you think they will…”

(One if my cats caught a bird, and it was still alive when I went outside to see them. Then one of my other cats bite its rear end off and I literally watched it die… That was a very strange thing to walk outside to…)

"I can't say for certain that they will, but we can hope, right?" Lilah said, giving Cameron a hopeful look.

Deleted user

(Jeezus what kinnda life are you living? xD)

Cameron nodded. “If that’s all we can do, yes. We will hope.”
