just breath Lucas it fine. Lucas was already freaking out slightly his anxiety getting the better of him, "so the weathers nice." He blurted out before he could stop himself and act like a normal person.
"Yeah, good for sur…." she caught herself, "Biking!" she corrected, fixing her gaze on the icecream and blushing furiously when she felt his presense close behind her
Lucas laughed a bit, "yeah I guess." Aaron tried to get him into biking when he was younger but Lucas never took to it like he did surfing. "You enjoy biking then?" He asked then emidently felt stupid for asking.
"Yeah, I guess" she laughed, turning around and realizing how close they actually were. She blushed roughly and froze
Lucas saw her freeze and he took a step back. "To close?" He asked sheepishly looking down at his feet. "Sorry." He mumbled stuffing his hands in his pockets awkwardly.
"No no no it's fine…" she blushed, turning back and ordering her icecream
Lucas kept his distance not wanting Mia to be uncomfortable. calm down its not like this is a biker girl that you've praticly liked since elementary. he knew his face was a bit red but he could pass it off as a sunburn considering his arms where a bit burnt.
Mia smiled as she turned around, ice cream in hand, "You gonna get one?" she asked, her voice high and almost child-like
"Uh yeah." Lucas smiled and ordered a single scoop of chocolate. "So you come here often?" He mentely slapped himself for being so cheesy.
"Yes. But don't tell any of the bikers that." she replied, a faint smile on her face as she took small bites of her icecream
"Ah yes don't worry I'd never ruin your reputation." Lucas smiled a bit, "though just hanging around me should do the trick." He joked as he took a bite of his ice cream.
"Oh shut up. You're one of the cutest guys in school." she replied, blushing roughly once she realized what she had just said.
"You should really meet my friend before you give my that title." Lucas laughed some more, "Pluse it doesn't matter about looks. I'm a surfer." He shrugged even though his mind went into panic mode.
"I've seen him, not my type" she replied, eblowing herself when she said it back in her head and what it insinuated
"Oh I see." Lucas said giving her a small smile before shoving more ice cream in his mouth. WWRD what would Robin do? he was still panicking in his head thinking that she was most likely just playing with his feelings.
"So, did you do any surfing on the weekend?" she asked, pushing a peice of hair out of her face
He thought for a second remembering how dead the waves had been lately, "if you count the small waves then yes." He finished his ice cream, "how about you? Any biking lately?"
"Everyday, all day" she replied. "I'm supposed to go downtown with the them sometime this week to pickup some new parts. We're fixing up a jeep and racing it down an abadonded highway." she hummed, taking another bite of icecream
"Sounds…dangerous?" Lucas smiled lopsidedly and cocked his head slightly. "I mean I'm not judging just-" he cut himself off not wanting to offend her, "never mind."
"Yeah it is, We're adreneline junkies though. They can't help it." she smiled. "Don't worry" she added, letting a small, shy laugh escape her perfectly framed lips as to lighten the mood.
Lucas smiled awkwardly, "yeah. Most bikers are after all." He didn't under stand why bikers didn't like surfers, they all seemed to like doing dangerous things.
"So um, how's your icecream?" she asked, sitting on the bench outside
"Its good." Lucas gave a dorky smile, "how's yours?"
Mia blushed lightly at his dorky smile, "Pretty good." she replied. It was now 2:50, almost closing time for the antique shop. "So." she hummed, letting her feet fall where they would sturdily underneath her and pushing herself up, "Thank you for today" she smiled, the blush returning in a light shade of baby pink across her pale, freckled face
"Ah, your welcome? Thank you for inviting me to tag along." Lucas stood and stretched. He'd most likely call Robin and they'd surfer for a few hours before turning in to go home.
Mia's mind went blank and soon went to the surf board in her garage, the one her mom had gotten for her last year. She hadn't grown an inch. Maybe she'd try it out today. "No problem" she replied, gently tossing her cup in the trash bin
Lucas looked over at his car, his bored in the back. "Do you- uh." He stumbled over his words. "Do you know how to surf? If not I could teach you if you wanted."
"I do actually" she replied, a slight nervous smile spread across her face. "I love it" she hummed, glancing over at his board in the back
"Y-you do? Would you maybe like to catch some waves sometime?" Lucas sounded like a little kid that was overly excited about something. chill out. he told himself trying to regain his cool.
"That would be amazing" she replied, a wide smile spread across her face
