"It's okay. . ." Rylan said. "It's better than being in the slums."
"It's okay. . ." Rylan said. "It's better than being in the slums."
“It’s really not okay.” Santiago hesitantly tugged her into a hug, holding her against his chest.
She leaned against his chest, feeling the steady beat of his heart. "I know." Rylan murmured, closing her eyes.
Santiago rested his chin on her forehead and sighed softly. “We should get some sleep,” he said softly.
"Yeah. . ." Rylan replied, sighing. "Can you stay with me?"
“Oh, sure,” Santiago said. He let go of her for a moment to rest down beside her, his jaw tensing up.
She wiped some of the tears on her cheeks. "Sorry about that. . . I don't usually cry." Rylan said, a small smile tilting the corner of her lips up.
“Don’t apologize, I don’t judge,” Santiago said softly. He hesitantly wrapped his arms around her waist, holding her against his chest.
Rylan closed her eyes, holding one of Santiago's hands.
(Wanna fast forward to the morning? )
(Yeah, sounds good.)
Rylan woke up to the sound of Santiago's computer beeping. Santiago was still sleeping, so she pushed herself up quietly and walked towards it. Looking down at the screen, she saw at least twenty different red dots moving in unison towards the main parts of 'Frisco.
Santiago was still sprawled out on her bed, fast asleep. His chest rose and fell at a steady pace, and he exhaled softly when she moved.
"Who is that?" She muttered to herself, looking around the screen. Across from where Santiago and Rylan were was a moving red dot. {Flynn} Rylan thought, looking back to the huge group. It must be Alec, searching through the sectors again. They were near the hotel.
Rylan walked back towards the bed, sitting down on the edge. Santiago was still sleeping, his chest rising and falling steadily.
Santiago shifted when the bed dipped from her weight. His hair fell across his face, and he gripped a pillow loosely.
She laid down next to Santiago, brushing the hair out of his face.
"You still gonna sleep?" Rylan murmured as she grinned.
Santiago’s eyes slowly opened and he squinted up at her. He smiled softly and shifted to lay on his side. “Mm, I don’t know. I think that’s the most I’ve slept in weeks,” he said in a tired tone.
"Same here. I usually only sleep for a few hours." Rylan replied. "You can keep sleeping. . . I need to show you something after."
“No, no it’s fine,” Santiago said, sitting up in bed. His usually neat hair was now extremely messy, some strands sticking out. “What is it?”
Rylan motioned towards the computer sitting on the edge of the table. "Your commander is moving towards Union Square. That's two blocks down from our hotel." She explained. "Flynn's on the other side of 'Frisco, probably trying to lead them away."
Santiago squinted toward the laptop and frowned. “Well, that’s good that she’s trying to lead them away, but if they get too close then we need to move.”
Rylan nodded, looking towards the JumboTrons outside. "Let's get ready soon."
(Lol im back)
Flynn drove towards the opposite side where Santiago and Rylan where, she made some short cuts and ended up in a dangerous alley, she then threw some of her things, faking a crime scene of her disappearance. After she placed everything strategically she backed up and looked at her finished job "Seems legit" She nodded at the finished job and got back into her car, not without leaving a fake emergency first, she looked straight forward with a serious look, took out her radio and turned it on "This is soldier A065 Flynn Anderson. Im informing a serious issue in (whatever sector) I need an emergency back-up right now" She then turned of her radio and threw it trough the window, smashing it with a wall. She took out another radio, but she changed this one, she took of the tracker and made it for one line only, which meant, if she turned it on, she could hear whatever they where saying back in the headquarters.
Flynn took off and went where they decided to meet up, she still had in mind what came to her when she was speaking to Santiago, it was truly bothering her, it could be prejudicial for both if them, if, her accusations where right.
Santiago got out of bed, stretching his arms. He dug through his bag for a change of clothes and took them to the bathroom, changing quickly and doing other things to get ready. He left the bathroom and stuffed his things away into his backpack.
Flynn got faster than she expected. She was in front of the hotel where Santiago and Rylan where staying, she got off the car, took her phone out and dialed Santiago's number. She didn't know the room they where in
Santiago heard his phone ring and took it from the bedside table. “Hello?” He asked.
"Hey, its me, Flynn, Im outside the hotel. In which room are you?" Flynn asked eyeing the hotel up and down
“Oh, hey, Flynn. Second floor, room 208,” He said, glancing to Rylan.
"Ok thanks I'll be right there. Oh and Santiago, we need to talk" Flynn said hanging up. She entered the hotel and went to the elevator but it had a sign that said "out of order" so she used the stairs. Once she got up she looked for said room "Room 205..206..207..Ah here it is room 208" She stared at the door for a little bit and then knocked
Santiago neared a knock on the door and went over to it, cracking it open to see who was there. He saw Flynn and opened it, ushering her inside fast. “We are very glad that you decided to come talk,” he explained.
