"What type of flowers do they sell? I can't imagine them selling the types I see everyday." Liam said, chuckling.
"What type of flowers do they sell? I can't imagine them selling the types I see everyday." Liam said, chuckling.
"I could get you some of you like," Moxiey suggested. It was her way of saying that they were hard to describe.
"You don't have to, I'll just use my imagination or look some up on my laptop later if it's too hard." Liam replied.
"You wouldn't be able to find them on your lap-top," she replied, doing her best with the foreign word.
"You sure?" Liam smiled at the way Moxiey tried to pronounce the word, "You're the mermaid so I guess you know best."
Moxiey nodded, then blushed, realizing how he said it. "I'm not…"
"Anyway, what's the best part about being a mermaid?" He asked.
"Mmm…" She thought. There were so many great things. "The beauty of it all. And the secrecy."
"How is secrecy the best part?" Liam asked, confused.
"Somedays it's great, other days…" She sighed. "Well, somedays the only thing I want is to be a human."
"Really? But being a human is boring, trust me." Liam gave her a smile
"No! It must be amazing!" Moxiey protested. "I just want to live like you."
“How do you think being a human is amazing?” Liam asked.
"You… You walk around on two legs! And you have all sorts of activities!" Moxiey exclaimed.
“Yeah, boring, being a mermaid is way better. Your tail is beautiful and to breath underwater!” Liam argued, but he was still smiling.
"I want to eat ice cream," Moxiey murmured dreamily. "It's supposed to be cold and freeze your tongue."
“It only freezes your tongue if you eat it too quickly.” Liam replied with a laugh.
"I wouldn't mind," Moxiey sighed. "It must be wonderful."
“Depends on the flavour of ice cream.” Liam shrugged.
"Flavor? There are different flavors?" she asked, incredulous.
“Oh yeah! Chocolate, vanilla, mint, rocky road, rum and raisin and loads more.” Liam replied.
"Which one is the best?" she asked innocently.
“Vanilla or rocky road.” Liam grinned.
"Vuh-nil-la," Moxiey tried. "I'll have to try them both then."
“How? Unless you have a way to turn human then…” Liam frowned.
"I don't," she sighed. "If I did, trust me, I would have by now."
“Huh… no magic like Ursula from The Little Mermais then?” Liam joked.
Moxiey wrinkled her nose in confusion. "What?"
“Oh, it’s a kids film where the mermaid, Ariel, consults this sea witch, Ursula and she gives Ariel legs.” Liam replied.
