Axl broke out into laughter. "No, I'm just joking." He pushed the Jack the jacket back to her. "Please."
Axl broke out into laughter. "No, I'm just joking." He pushed the Jack the jacket back to her. "Please."
"Gosh, just take the jacket, Axl!" she exclaimed, thrusting the jacket into his arms. "We're almost at school anyway."
Axl scoffed. "Fine." He took it and rolled his eyes. "So much for me being a good person."
"You hate the cold. You've told me on multiple occasions. I can see that you're already freezing," she commented.
"And you're shivering." He didn't put the jacket on, he wanted to prove his point. She was right though, his cheeks felt the wind and were almost a block of ice. No matter how hard he tried to hide them, goosebumps covered his skin.
"Put… Jack… on…" she ordered slowly.
"No." The cold was starting to seep through his jeans, but then again, that made sense. They had rips. Idiot. He adjusted his beanie.
Katie crossed her arms. "Must I take extreme measures?"
Axl turned his head a little then remembered his pride, turning it back. "And what would that be?"
"You don't want to know," Katie answered. She hoped he couldn't disguise the empty threat her words held.
"There's hesitation in your vo~ice!" He said in a sing-song voice. Lies from her rarely got past him.
Katie frowned, then sighed. "Just take the jacket would you?"
(Are either of our villains on?)
I am!! //
(Wanna cause some chaos? :D)
Oi yes!//
(Awesome! Go ahead!)
Axl sighed and took the jacket. "Why are you like this?" He took the jacket and put it on. "You and your stubborn headedness."
Newt raced downstairs and shut the door behind him, breathing heavily. He was having a bad bad day, and it was about time that he got his way.
"Because I can handle myself. You're cold, and it's painfully obvious," Katie explained, glad that he finally put on the jacket. "Besides, Jack belongs with you," she added, a bit of tease in her voice.
Newt shrugged on his trench-coat and sat in the middle of the floor. It was time to cause some evil.
"Yeah, whatever." Heat rose into his cheeks. They've known each other since the start of high school, her being his only friend. Not only that, he's had the biggest crush on her since the first day of school. Of course, he didn't let it get in the way of their friendship.
Katie stopped walking suddenly, her expression becoming cold. She could feel something… she didn't know what it was, though.
Axl stopped beside Katie, feeling the same sense. "What's up?" He got this sense whenever something was going to happen, turning him into Fireboy. Katie didn't know this though, so he kept quiet.
"Nothing. I just thought I saw a… squirrel. Like you know? From that movie? The dog was always like 'SQUIRREL!'" Katie tried to recover, but failed miserably.
His fingertips burned with an invisible flame. Something was off, so off that he didn't catch the cover up by Katie. He gazed off in the distance. "Yeah…"
Katie felt something scream inside of her to run away and change into Watergirl. But she couldn't, because then Axl would suspect something.
Axl turned to her. "Hey - uh- why don't you, umm, go to school without me? I gotta…. stop at this house right here." He pointed to the house beside them. "My friend wanted to talk to me." He hoped his poker face could hide his lie.
"Sure. Meet you there," Katie said, hurrying off towards the school, unaware that she was running right towards the danger.
He watched as she ran off, quickly taking his backpack off as she turned the corner. He checked around for people watching. Seeing none, he slipped into the space beside the house and put on his mask. He saw the tips of his hair turn red. "Cool." He ran off, towards the sense of danger.
