"No, you were just trying to be playful. You didn't know how much whining bothers me," Lilah defended him.
"No, you were just trying to be playful. You didn't know how much whining bothers me," Lilah defended him.
Cameron shrugged. “I guess, but I would’ve been able to guess that. I shoudn’t have did that.”
"How would you have figured that out? It doesn't bother most people that much," Lilah murmured, turning slightly so that she was speaking almost directly into Cameron's ear.
Cameron shrugged a little and leaned his head off of hers in case he hurt her. “Like I said, I could’ve just guessed.”
"Just stop putting yourself down, Cam," Lilah sighed. "It's fine, really."
Cameron nodded and sighed. “Okay. Sorry anyway.”
Lilah hugged him tighter, hoping to reassure him that everything was really okay. She nuzzled his neck a bit with her nose before she turned to lay her head on his shoulder.
Lily tottered over and flopped down on their connected legs, rather than any other spot on the bed. Cameron glanced down and started petting the puppy with his free hand.
Lilah smiled and scratched behind the puppy's ears. "Hey, Lily. You feeling better?"
Lily whined softly and nudged Lilah’s fingers with her nose.
Cameron sighed and lifted up the puppy carefully. “Poor Lily… Who’s a good girl?” He asked her gently, rubbing the puppy’s back.
Lilah pulled away from Cameron and bent down to kiss the puppy's nose. She rubbed Lily's head gently.
"You're stealing my cuddle time," she joked.
Lily gave a gentle bork and licked Lilah’s face happily.
Cameron laughed and turned a faint red in the ears. “We have plenty of time, though.”
Lilah laughed and pushed the Lily away from her face.
"That's true," she agreed, still laughing a bit. "But she'll still want attention. She might have to join us."
Cameron hummed and laid down on the bed. “Lilah’s right, girl. You need a lot of attention, don’t you?”
Lily softly borked, licking Cameron’s face.
Lilah laughed a little and pet the dog some more.
"She's a puppy, of course she does."
Cameron rolled over onto his back and let Lily stand on his chest.
She barked softly and laid down, absolutely basking in the attention.
Lilah sighed and leaned into one arm, facing Cameron and Lily. She smiled as she watched them, reaching out to lightly boop the puppy on her nose.
Lily berk borked loudly in shock and turned to look at Lilah, wagging her tail.
Cameron rubbed the doggy slobber off of his face with a grin.
"Whaaaaat?" Lilah raised her hands defensively as she smiled at the puppy. "I didn't do anything. I think it was Cameron."
“BERK BERK!” said Lily, wagging her tail.
Cameron laughed gently. “No! It was Lilah!”
"Uh… Nope. I distinctly remember you doing it," Lilah declared, propping herself up on her arm again as she tried to hold back a grin.
Lily didn’t seem to care anymore, for she wiggled over, whining, and nudged Lilah’s hand.
Cameron blinked at Lilah. “But you did, methinks.”
"'Methinks'? Are we in the renaissance, now?" Lilah teased, ruffling the puppy's ears.
Cameron laughed gently. “Yep. I didn’t feel like saying ‘I think’ so I just got lazy,” He explained equally as lazy.
"Hm, well… Lily doesn't seem to care anymore," Lilah said, smiling down at Cameron.
Cameron grinned back then down at the pupper. “Yep, certainly seems that way.”
"What happened to that movie?" Lilah asked.
“Well, I was gonna get it until Lily decided to intervine. She won’t let me move for decades.” He smiled warmly at the pupper, then back at Lilah
Lilah picked the dog up off of Cameron's chest and held her. "How about now?" she asked with a smile.
Lily whined softly and gave Cameron puppy dog eyes. “Awwww! Look at her!”
