(Maybe you should see a chiropractor?)
"But I don't want to lead the way, I want you to," Lilah laughed. "Or we could just walk there together…"
(O.o i dunno man i’ll just tell mai mom whenever i see her next (she”s an RN so yey).)
Cameron rolled his eyes and jogged up the steps next to her. “We’ll go together, then.”
(RN? Registered Nurse?)
"Perfect. I like to talk to you, so I'm glad to do so," Lilah laughed.
(Yes.)
“I like talking to you, too.” He smiled towards her and stumbled over a step. He caught himself with a hasty laugh.
(Funny, my aunt is a nurse!)
Lilah saw and hid her giggle behind her hand. "You sure you should be carrying Lily, Mr. Klutz?"
(That’s so cool!)
Cameron glanced at her, turning a faint red. “Y-yep, she’ll be okay!” He smiled nervously.
(It's like having your own personal – and free! – doctor, 24/7!)
"If you're sure…" Lilah teased.
(Yeee but she’s not home much, but when she is, I can ask her homework questions. She smart.)
Cameron gave her a light nudge on the landing. “Quite sure… Now, my room.” He opened the door to his room, which was still quite the same.
(That's great! My great-aunt – my grandma's sister – has a major in math, so I can talk to her about that.)
"It hasn't changed since you've been gone," Lilah laughed.
(That must be super helpful! My dad is super cocky about how good he is at maths, so I find it impossible to ask him anything about it.)
Cameron laughed too and set Lily down on the bed. “I’ve only been gone two days!”
(I'm sure it would be if I ever actually asked her. Lol.)
"Exactly! So what could have changed?" Lilah said, sitting on the bed beside Lily.
Cameron shrugged and pulled out the dog food bag out of the closet. Lily stirred with a faint bork.
“I dunno,” Cameron responded as he gave Lily a cup or two, “what did you expect?” He grinned at Lilah, flicking his hair out of his face.
"Nothing more and nothing less," Lilah clarified with a grin. In fact, she was starting to like the room. It was… cozy.
Cameron laughed and plopped down next to her, once Lily had her food and she was eating.
“What now, Lilah?” He looked up at her contented profile with a smile.
"I don't know. What do you want to do?" Lilah asked, gently taking his hand in hers and looking up into his eyes.
Cameron gazed steadily back. “Dunno, whatever you’d like.” Though he knew exactly what he wanted to do…
"Are you sure?" Lilah asked, tilting her head to the side a bit.
Cameron nodded. “Yep. Whatever you’d like is fine.”
"Hm… Well, I could say the same about you," Lilah said with a cute smile.
Cameron grinned back. “Could you, now?”
"Mm-hm. Well, within reason, anyway," Lilah clarified with a shrug.
Cameron nodded. “Of course… of course…”
"Are you going to do it or not?" Lilah laughed gently.
“Why don’t you do it,” Cameron challenged with a smile. “I did the last one.”
"Because I don't want to lead. That's the man's job," Lilah whispered, looking up at Cameron with a grin.
Cameron rolled his eyes. “A woman who believes that is lying to herself. Under every powerful man is his wife or girlfriend.”
"Oh, just shut up and kiss me, Prince Cameron!" Lilah laughed.
Cameron laughed gently and flopped down backwards on the bed. “Now I can’t reach you. So you have to do it now.” His voice has bright and somewhat interruotes by his laughter.
Lilah rolled her eyes as she looked down at Cameron.
"You really don't listen well, do you?" she teased without moving.
Cameron met her gaze with his shining brown one. “Nope, not well at all.”
