Kaleb looked at him as he patted the spot on the couch, contemplating if he really should go over there. For Halo, it'd be obvious to know what his wounds were from, which who knows how he'd react to that. And letting another help him? Kalebs never done that before, what if Halo would use that as leverage to make him do something? As he mentally argued with himself, something in him told him that it would be okay. Finding it hard to trust that inner voice, Kaleb tentatively walked towards the couch and sat down. He grabbed the bottom of his shirt and paused. Feeling the self-deprecating thoughts take over, he suddenly became very shy and self-loathing of his body, his face flushed with embarrassment.
Halo smiles a little as the other comes next to him. Halo didn't mind helping the other, it was just part of his nature to help the injured. He finishes unwrapping his hands. He sees Kaleb hesitate when he went to remove his shirt for Halo. The white haired male tilts his head a little, then smiles. He understood self loathing. He hated his body as well. "It's alright." He assures gently. "I won't judge." He sets a reassuring hand on Kaleb's wrist.
Due to the fact that he was not used to physical contact, Kaleb instinctively tensed when Halo touched him. Kaleb once again argued with himself mentally. To trust or not. Halo was only the second person in Kalebs long life to show him any sort of kindness. Trying to push aside the doubt, Kaleb closed his eyes and lifted off his shirt to expose the blood soaked bandages he had placed last night. His face was almost as red as his hair and he kept his eyes shut tight.
Halo smiles a little bit. "I don't bite." He teases gently. He gently runs his hands along the wounds, and they seem to quickly heal themselves as he runs his fingertips along the wounds. "That should help a little." He says softly, smiling a little bit as he draws his fingers back.
"Maybe YOU dont…" Kalebs train of thought derailed when Halo touched his back. Somehow, his blush deepened and he parted his lips slightly to let out a shaky breath. And even though his mind was elsewhere, his energy almost seemed to pulse the moment Halo touched him.It took a few moments for anything to register, so when he finally came around, Kaleb shot up out of his seat an scurried away out of arms reach. "T-thank you…" Mumbled Kaleb.
Halo smiles gently, watching the wounds disappear. He folds his hands on his lap, glancing at Kaleb. "Are you alright? You look like a… well… a tomato…" He smiles a little. Halo tilts his head as the other scurries away, and out of arms reach. Did he do something? He smiles and nods, "Of course. It's no problem."
He had noticed how Halo looked concerned, "Y-you didnt do anything…bad. My uh….my back is just sensitive…" Kalebs eyes wouldnt leave the floor. He was so embarrassed he could just tip over and die. "Although, you didnt need to waste your energy to heal me. It would have healed on its own eventually." Kaleb looked at the small spots on his shirt, trying to distract himself. "Is it okay if i wash my shirt in your sink?"
He nods in understanding, smiling softly, "I understand that. My wings are very sensitive." He replies, chuckling softly. "You don't have to worry about it. I wanted to." He says gently. He stands slowly, "Can I do anything else to help you?" He asks gently.
"you have already done more than enough for me." Finally gathering his courage back, Kaleb looked back up at Halo, "if anything, i feel as though i owe you." He smirked slightly, "after all, i used up your bandages and your energy. if you'd like, i can run some errands for you." Kaleb walked towards the sink to wash his shirt. before turning on the faucet Kaleb removed his bandages, exposing his muscled torso and sun-kissed skin. Tossing the bandages away, Kaleb stretched, flexing the muscles in his back causing his back to pop a few times before he began to wash his shirt.
Halo watches the other stands, smiling a little. "I don't mind." He says gently. "No need to owe me anything." He says softly. He hums in thought. "There isn't really need. I only have to get some from my room." He replies, shrugging. He squeaks, turning red when Kaleb removed his shirt. "I-I have another way of washing it." He says shyly, covering his eyes.
He chuckles to himself "I'll go ahead and get more for you, its the least i can do." Kalebs lips turn upwards into a small smile as he focuses on his shirt. "its only two small spots, it'd be a waste to use a washing machine…besides…" Kaleb wrings out his shirt and holds it up, "the spots are already gone." Kaleb lowered his shirt and stared at it. Halo had to have figure by now that he too isn't human. So whats left to lose? Shrugging his shoulders, he decided to use some magic, causing a puff of hot air to go through his shirt, drying it for the most part. He then threw the shirt on and smirked at Halo. "i uh…dont suppose you want to go with me? I'm not familiar with your city…"
"It's alright." Halo says softly, rubbing his arms. He takes a quiet breath and tries to relax and calm down. "S-still, it's blood!" Halo insists, watching the other with wide eyes. He fumbles with his fingers, his white hair falling into his face as he tries to keep calm. He looks up when he's spoken to and smiles at the other. "Oh, uh. Not problem!" He says shyly.
Kalebs eyes softened as he look at Halo. It had been so long since he was in the presence of someone so kind. "Well…"he started, trying to get his thoughts back on track, "I'm ready whenever you are." Taking a hair tie from his wrist, Kaleb gathered his thick, thigh length red hair and tied it in a low pony-tail that sat in the middle of his shoulder blades. Finishing up with his hair, Kaleb walked towards the door and leaned up against it, waiting till Halo was ready.
Halo was nervous and shy, but nods and smiles, "This way then." In all honesty he wanted to curl up into a ball and try to keep calm. He had been through a lot from the other night, and he was terrified. He didn't want a repeat of last night. Drunks always scared him.
Pausing for only a moment, Kaleb followed close behind him. Kaleb watched him intently, picking up on how Halo moved and how he seemed to somewhat curl into himself. Hoping he wasn't assuming anything wrong, Kaleb took a chance. "Hey," he reached out and lightly touched Halos arm, concern written all over his face and he stared at Halo intently "you don't need to worry…i'll be right next to you, i promise that i wont let anything bad happen to you as long as i'm around."
Halo looks up his eyes widening slightly when he felt Kalb gently touch his arm. He looks back at the other and smiles weakly. "Th-thank you." He whispers, hanging onto those kind words. He takes a deep breath, trying to calm down. He smiles weakly before walking towards the door, "After you."
Kaleb gave a light squeeze to reassure him, then he released Halos arm and opened the door to walk out. Stepping outside, Kaleb looked up towards the bright blue sky and smiled to himself. "Such lovely weather." He closed his eyes lightly and breathed deeply as a soft breeze blew over the area. Kaleb opened his eyes and stared into the sky, as he did so he realized that he still didn't feel like he was being watched. No fear. No feelings as if someone is hunting him. Just…peace. His face seemed to light up as these feelings washed over him.
Halo looks around and starts, smiling a little at Kaleb. "It is beautiful today." He says softly, looking around. He takes a deep breath and looks around. He walks out of the area, humming as he does so. He was so tired. He yawns softly and looks around, enjoying the gentle breeze. He looks around, humming softly as he does so.
Kaleb followed beside Halo, looking around at all the buildings and people. He still stayed on alert, but he wasn't as worried as he usually was. How times have changed. Cars, phones, technology in general, Kaleb kept quite as he reflected on how quickly humans have changed the world. He then looked over to Halo and noticed how his hair almost lit up in the warm sunlight. Kaleb smiled to himself as his cheeks heated up ever so slightly. Making sure he wasnt caught staring, Kalebs averted his gaze back to their surroundings.
Halo smiles warmly at the sunlight. It felt good to be outside. He worked early in the morning to late at night. It was rare when he just got to relax and stand in the sun. He smiles at the other. "Off we go then." He says happily. He hums as he walks, his hips swaying as he relaxes. It felt nice. He looks back at Kaleb and smiles sweetly.
"So," Kaleb nudged Halo lightly in the arm, "What do yours look like?" he tilted his head inquisitively and smiled (not showing his teeth) "your wings i mean…heh, maybe i should have elaborated first." Kalebs smiled dropped a tad and he looked away as he thought to himself. That's not rude is it? To ask to see anothers wings. Was it creepy? Kaleb scrunched his face in concern before looking back at Halo "I mean, you dont have to if you dont want to. I'm sorry i asked…" Kaleb shrunk into himself as he realized he was probably disrespectful.
Halo smiles, "I could show you. Normal mortals can't see them." He shrugs and chuckles softly. Slowly out of his back, huge angelical wings spread from his back. They had a wing span of about 20 feet, having a faint glow to them. They were breath taking. He smiles sweetly. "I haven't stretched them in such a long time."
Kalebs eyes widened in awe as Halo showed his wings, and for a split second, jealousy ran through him. It went away immediately and Kaleb couldnt help but reach out to gently stroke the feathers. "Amazing," Kaleb breathed "they…glow! Ive never seen wings glow before." Kaleb was obviously enthralled by Halos lovely wings, but he still tried to keep his voice and actions from drawing unnecessary attention.
