"Avery" came his curt response. is she trying to become my friend? he thinks quite confused on why anyone would want to be his friend

"It's a pleasure to meet you Avery!" She said holding out her hand for a hand shake. "If you don't mind me asking, Avery, what college do you go to? I think I've seen you around, and correct me if I'm wrong, Oliver's Central College?"

"That is correct, what course are you?" he asks

"Oh, My major is, Plant Philosophy and growth. Our class is in the greenhouse most of the time, so we aren't seen around campus much." She smiled, this conversation was going better than she expected. "What about you? What's your major?"

"Forensic Criminology, we see allot of dead bodies" he says awkwardly, not used to talking to people. wow, this is more awkward then expected he notes in his mind

"Ah…dead people…nice…" She said, honestly the conversation was getting to be a little awkward, taking another leap of faith she sighed, "I don't know much about that, would you mind sitting with me and talking about it?" She asked

"uh.. sure" he mumbles

She grabbed her coffee, and sat back down at her table, she closed the lid of her laptop. "So, what makes dead people…" She swallowed, "Appealing…to you?" She was throwing the line out there, honestly, death scared her. But she was always interested to hear what other people's opinions were…and she was after all just trying desperately to make friends, her roommates already want nothing to do with her…and everyone else in her major thought she was crazy because of her enthusiasm about plants…so overall, the 1st semester has been…realativly lonely for Serina.

"uh, its quiet and i really dont like loud noises…" he trails off kinda embaressed
did i say too much, now she wont want to be my friend!
he sips his tea and tries not to screw this up

She chuckled, "I guess that's one thing we have in common…" her voice faded something was on her mind…"Can I be honest with you?" She asked, "I know I've already asked a lot of questions so if you don't want me too I won't, and…I'll stop bothering you." She sighed and took a sip of her coffee, fidgeting in her chair.

"you wanna be my friend?" he blurts out, his face flushed in embaresment

Her expression turned within a fraction of a second, she was first in shock…but it melted into a smile…"Of course," she said. Relaxing better in her chair, "Y'know the real reason I come here is that my roommates throw frequent parties in our apartment, and I don't do well with crowds or drunk people…so I escape here…."

"I live with my brother." he says "And Angels that one weird social person"

"Oh yes, I've seen him…though I don't remember where exactly, but It'll come to me." She said taking another sip of her coffee, the conversation had moved beyond awkward this made Serina very please with her social skills, and Avery's willingness to converse.

"hm well he's a zoology major, if that helps" he says flashing a rare smile

"Yes, that's where I know him from!" She said, looking at her watch," the shop should be closing soon, and the party is far from done…"She started packing up her laptop, "I don't really have anywhere else to go…but the park….which is closed for renovations…augh…his is such bad timing…." She grumbled, searching for her possible options.

"wanna go to the library?" he asks "i know a quiet corner"
