Elise sat back on the bed, holding Thelisi gently in her lap, looking thoughtfully out the window to where the sky was darkening.
Havenwood’s wide yawn announced him back into the room. “Ahhhhhg I have dinner!”
Elise giggled at the sight and stood up. "Alright."
Havenwood smiled warmly at his smol, then at Elise. “Yess, let’s eat!”
"Mkay." She picked Thelisi up gently and walked to the sofa, humming happily.
Havenwood served venison on toasted bread to her, and for himself, untoasted bread with venison.
"Toast!" She exclaims gleefully, beginning to eat.
Havenwood laughed. “I know you love toast.” He bit into his sandwich.
She smiled at him gratefully and continued to eat, glancing sometimes at him, Thelisi, and back again lovingly.
Havenwood plopped down next to his other two family members soon, though. It was peaceful enough until there was a quiet knock on the door.
"I wonder who it is." Sarcasm dripped in Elise's voice. "Go on, hold Thelisi." She stood up.
Havenwood carefully took his smol. “Apollo doesn’t knock like that, though…”
"Who else could it be, then?" Elise tilted her head, hand halfway to the doorknob.
Havenwood frowned a little. “I dunno…”
Another gentle knock.
"Should I open it, then?" She glanced, concerned, at Havenwood.
“We can’t just ignore it,” Havenwood pointed out.
"Okay." She nodded, and hesitated for a moment before opening the door.
A small set man was standing there, yet he was quite tall and dark haired. His eyes were faded out into his skull, making him look almost dead. His helm didn’t help either. He was crouched down to look through the door, and even so, Elise had to look up to see him.
"Erm - hello?" Elise stepped a couple paces back.
The God thing backed away a little. “Hello, mortal,” His voice was polite and deep. “Is Artemis here?”
Elise raised an eyebrow, but didn't correct him. "Artemis? Oh - yes, he's here. Why?"
“I need to speak to him,” The visitor blinked at her, as if that was obvious; which it was.
"Wait here." Elise strode to the kitchen and took Thelisi from Havenwood's arms. "He wants to speak to you."
Havenwood blinked. “Who?”
"I don't know. But he seems to know you." She mumbled nervously. "Just go."
Havenwood frowned a little and rose. “Okay, I’ll go talk to them…” He walked over to the door, outside, and shut it.
Elise cradled Thelisi, pacing in front of the door nervously.
