Thelisi fussed gently and hung back down out of her grasp, giggling.
Thelisi fussed gently and hung back down out of her grasp, giggling.
Athena retreated to a slightly lower branch, picking a leaf off of a tree and handing it to Thelisi.
Thelisi held the leaf up to his face. "Gaaaaasp Weeeeeff!"
"It is a leaf. Good job." Athena giggled, and plucked some bark off of the tree. "This here is bark."
Thelisi stared wide-eyed at the bark. "Berk!"
"Berk indeed." Athena sighed.
"Berk an Weef!" Thelisi giggled.
"Are parts of a tree." Athena finished.
Thelisi giggled. "Silly berk and weaf!"
She tilted her head and rolled her eyes. "Alright, then."
"Berk! Weaf! Silly Athe!" Thelisi giggled wildly, waving his legs.
"Mkay. You do that, then." Athena sighed and jumped down from the tree, walking through the woods towards her cottage.
Thelisi wiggled so that he was dangling out of Athena's arms again. He giggled loudly, flailing.
Athena held Thelisi tighter and shut the cabin door behind her, setting the child down on the carpet.
Thelisi fell back on the carpet, giggling wildly. He rolled onto his stomach unhelped and got up in a sitting position.
"Go to town, bud. Well, not literally." Athena set up an invisible shield around Thelisi to prohibit him from going too far, and then wandered to the kitchen.
Thelisi watched her leave and the moment she was out of sight he burst into tears. He flopped onto his back, sobbing.
Athena knew he was only vying for her attention and got herself a glass of water before meandering back into the room.
Thelisi flailed on the carpet overdramatically, crying loudly for her. "ATHE!!!"
"Drama queen." She muttered, taking a swig from the water before removing the shield and sitting next to him.
Thelisi wiggled over to her and climbed into her lap. He sniffled and rubbed his eyes, slowly giggling again.
"Like you were ever really crying," She murmurs, dangling a leaf in front of his face.
Thelisi cooed sweetly and reached up for it. "Weaf," His voice was quiet.
Athena let him have it, picking up a set of keys from the table and dangling those, too.
Thelisi dropped the leaf and watched the keys with a look of awe. He reached up for the sparkling keys, wiggling forward.
"Those are my keys," Athena explains, letting him have them.
Thelisi laid down with them in front of his face. He gazed at them for a few moments, then put them on his face.
"Key-boy, eh?" Athena chuckled.
Thelisi started giggling at her voice. He picked up the keys and jingled them happily.
"Lock up your doors and windows, everyone. Key-boy has arrived." Athena monologued.
